That only covers some of the HUGE crowd that was there. It wrapped around city hall and to the 101 on the side that I was on. I'm certain that it went further in the other direction. That was the most people I have ever seen in my life. That was also one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen.
Also, in response to what some people say, I saw more american flags than mexican or salvadorian flags. You wouldn't be hard pressed to find a mexican flag, but there were more american flags than mexican flags. I don't see why it should matter, but there where more american flags than mexican flags.

I see no reason to complain when Mexican-Americans wave Mexican flags.

May this end once and for all the racist attiudes and prejudice in Los Angeles and beyond. Take this energy and organize to raise the minimum wage, to end the Sensenbrenner bill HR 4437 and to tell the politicians that the people have the power!

irish citizens aren't coming here illegally in droves, and they aren't right below us, and they aren't from a near-third world nation. but the law still applies to all those here illegally, regardless of nationality.

... after we seize their assets due to egregious criminality discovered after we open the corporate books. Then we can see who is /was paying off who to create this stupid mess. Look around, *we are* a third world nation heading off the edge and here you are grabbing other falling people to stay on this edge. While they sell our country out from us, loot the social security fund ( who the fuck do 'we' owe this [ debt ] money to? ) and engage in rapine with foreign entanglements. Do something meaningful. End corporate influence in government.

the real problem is all about trade. if you dont want people to come here illegally. fix the free trade agreement and make it fair trade. the so call "illegals" you call it. we would not have so much people to come here if thier life would be better say in mexico. also, you guys do not target the corporations. they are the ones hire "illegals" i.e. Walmart. yeah you guys target home depot but you target home depot with day laborers. what is the issue with the day laborers they are not the corporations. trust me if u fix the trade issue you will fix the immigration issue. also, who are the ones outsources jobs? i will give you a hint it is not the illegals.

The correct number, according to Gilchrist, is 240 million, up from 200 million a few months ago.
