The Common Vision veg-oil fueled bus caravan arrived at the South Central Farm this past Sunday. They will be living at the farm all this week as part of their 2006 tour to plant 1,000 fruit trees and educate children about the environment and caring for the earth.

this land belongs to the communities who have put their blood and sweat into making it what it is today, a place to nuture and educate the children in the inner-cities.
and if wHorowitz does get his way we'll just dig them up and plant them in his office.

Your post was so insulting, the folks at the south central farm are not drunks or people who waste their money. The majority of the people there are elders and grandparents who supplement their diet and nutritional needs with healthy, autonomously grown food and use the farm as a place to teach the youth how to farm and cultivate ecologically.
Ralph Horowitz is a theif and a opportunist, he illegally bought the land back by placing pressure on the local government and now wants to sell the land back at triple what he paid for it. These folks have occupied public land that was sold out from underneath them, so if anyone is at fault it is Ralph Horowitz and the local government for agreeing to an illegal sale of publically used land.
We urge both Ralph Horowitz and the City of LA to make this right. Horowitz can be reasonable and sell the land back to the people at the price he paid or the City of LA can contribute the remaining funds required to purchase the land from Horowitz.
Why would he sell now? It seems that you have insulted him so much that he would not want to sell. Forget selling at the price he paid, the market dictates the price.
Why don't these gardners buy land for their gardens? Would they be mad if I moved into their gardens and planted my garden?
Please explain how putting millions into buying the garden will benefit anyone beyond the 350 families, specifically a city of 4,000,000 people . It wont, and that money should be spent on something else, say public education, health services, or law enforcement..
