Minutemen and opposing protesters conflict in Lake Forest
edit_3.jpg, image/jpeg, 400x385
This time the Minuteman participants and affiliates had a lot more opposition.

My guess is that the picture shows a person (in this case, a Mexican) with gun-shot from a shotgun across one side of his face. Given the photos of the guy shot by Cheney, that is what I would infer.

Yup, the bastard waves that foreign rag at me, and says "Viva Guatemala", and I tell him to get fucked. I love my the USA and I'll stand up for it against anyone. I went over to that area, because I saw an egg come flying from there. I went right to the source. I'll have the fucker arrested, and if possible, I'll see he gets fucking deported for that. An egg could cause eye damage. That's assault and battery.

Eight Latino laborers without proof of legal U.S. residency were arrested Friday morning in front of the Home Depot in Orange and taken to an immigration checkpoint, from which they could be deported.
Orange police said the men were soliciting work outside the store and were cited for violating a city law that prohibits it.

So what if I spoke with Duane Roberts or Naui. It doesn't mean I'm a Green Party member and I'm not. I'll talk to whoever I want to. Would you rather I discuss family values with Chris Simcox?
It's ridiculous the Minutemen would continue to bring tension to the streets in numbers, "Brokebutt Border" banners, and noise. I'd rather it not happen, whether it's Laguna Beach or Lake Forest or whatever. I'm not sure what the ramifications are for the parade in Laguna Beach, but I wouldn't care to see them march in my area. Go take on San Juan Capistrano and march there, yeah good luck with that one there.
As for turning on SOS and the Minutemen, there was a long process in this. I first quit SOS when they started talking about burning a Mexican flag and no less than 12 of them either wanted to do it or were okay with it. So I quit. As for the whole Minuteman crowd, I grew uncomfortable with protesting day labor. I told them I'm done with that and there were lengthy email discussions. I caught heat from Ayatollah and others. But I stood my ground. I won't hold back or put things in denial just to stay in a comfort zone.
The separation was more solidified when Jim Gilchrist refused to reject white supremacy on KFI and wouldn't come clean about the Stormfront people in his campaign. He's had all this time, since December, to explain and he still hasn't. It may be campaign strategy to keep quiet about it, but that's not good enough for me. It's either explain or lose me. And he lost me.
I haven't been dealing with the border issue. It's a complex paradox of law, safety, and human life. But whatever is to be done there, I will give no thanks to Gilchrist's tainted Minuteman movement. To them I say no thanks. An affiliation with Gilchrist is not necessary. I hope people like Tan Nguyen, running for Congress in District 47 of CA, are aware of that.
As for the day labor workers in Lake Forest, I say let them work. For months I wanted the city to put the day labor situation in a place where it won't interfere with businesses. Of course that answer is a day labor center. Lake Forest really needs a day labor center, the sooner the better.

Which guy with the beard?
I'll look through my photos again. I didn't get that many pictures of those who opposed the Minutemen if any because I didn't want to make them or the day labor workers uncomfortable with my camera. When the Minutemen left, I put my camera away so any employers wouldn't think I'm an actual Minuteman. You can see them though in my "Overview" video clip.
There was also some kids among those who opposed the Minutemen and I usually hold back from getting pictures or footage of them since they're kids.

As it turns out, I only got a good photo of Ken Mock and his "Let Them Work" sign, which I posted above. He's dedicated to opposing the Minutemen here in Lake Forest. He's a very peaceful demonstrator.
I have some footage and may actually upload all of it to putfile.com. When I come back home from rehearsal(uck, sunday rehearsals!) I'll review the tape and see what I got and if there's anything I should post.

The guy with the "$500 FINE" sign? I'm not sure, but he's there all the time. He doesn't talk much. He was polite from what I remember. Back when I used to hang with them just to video tape incase anything bad happens(when I made it clear I'm not gonna pick on the day labor workers), he let me use his cellphone once. I think it was him.
I actually suspected him of possibly being from Stormfront because his face looked like a person's avatar pic on Stormfront. But I think the Stormfront guy is from another state. And there's the couple in the first photo in the SOS link you provided, the one wearing hats.
See one day shortly before the campaign, I went to Lake Forest to interact because there was a post on Stormfront calling for people to come to Lake Forest. So I went and lo and behold I saw this new couple. Who I never met before. Hmmm. The female wore sunglasses with an iron cross on them. But I later tracked them down to be West Coast Choppers shades. Besides, I saw one or two day labor workers with iron cross shades, so okay I guess the iron cross thing was vague.
Well I spoke with the couple at the Gilchrist parking lot later. The lady said how she once hired a couple of white guys. She specifically said white, not legal or American, but "white." Okay, sounds funny, but I didn't conclude anything there because I couldn't. But just watching for slips of the tongue. They had CA Minutemen shirts on. I emailed photos of them to Jim Chase, who only knows them as former members of the military. The Marines I think.
So I don't know if they're from Stormfront, but I don't have anything substantial. But that's what I was there for. I had already found out, along with Debbie and others, about two from Stormfront who have been seen in Laguna Beach with the skinhead types with Nazi flags. We found out they were in the campaign. Confirmed by Anne, the front desk person. And others. Deborah-Courtney told us that Eldon, the grassroots manager, let four white nationalists in knowing they were white nationalists. Including the two we discovered. Eldon refused to answer my questions and said he'd call the police if I didn't leave. Go figure.
Anyways, back to the couple with the hats. That's what I was there for, looking out for Stormfront types. But hey hey, they wouldn't have it. I was kicked out of the campaign and expected to shut up. And who knows who's in the Gilchrist crowd right now. I'm sure they're more careful now, but who knows what they intended before. Did they really intend to keep racist types out? Or was that just words to feed the public?
I couldn't get straight answers and didn't trust would they'd tell me anyways. So I decided to go public. If there's nothing wrong, no problem, just explain. But so far, they haven't.

When I mentioned a day shortly before the campaign, I meant shortly before the Dec. 6th election.
Remember, Debbie and I were told that FOUR white nationalists were let in the offices. She also told me about SOS and the Nazis. Words included "Joe," "invited" and "Nazis." You can figure that one out.

Are you addressing me? Absolutely no way do I tolerate an affiliation with Nazi types and I'm supporting the day labor workers in Lake Forest who want to work. And I look forward to the Home Depot opening here in hopes they'll open a hiring center for them.
I was saying when I used to hang with the Gilchrist folks, I was on the look out for Stormfront types. But they blew me off. And I got tired of them picking on the poorest of workers here in Lake Forest.
As for SOS, on Sept. 24th after the Laguna rally, I went to Gilchrist headquarters and put together signs and stuff. And that's when Debbie really went off about SOS and the Nazis. At first I was a little naive and didn't know what to think of it.

Is knowing about the bearded guy some kind of qualification of knowing who's who in the Gilchrist campaign? During the time when I was in the offices on a daily basis, he was never there. Maybe protesting day labor is his thing, but campaign work didn't seem to be.
Tom Hoefling is the one I worked with most directly. He was a good person and agreed that it was stupid of them to kick me out. If that had not occured, I would have finished up and after election I would have been done and good relief. But things had to turn ugly.
As for the Laguna rally on July 30th last year, I already explained my view of that day. It was the very first experience for me in this day labor issue and all of a sudden here comes rejects from American History X making their show. All I had time for was to hope I don't get attacked for not being "pure white." Infact, my "Be Legal or Be Gone" sign at the time rather felt like a life sheild that day.

It's good to see that last week elsewhere in the United States, about 20 Nazis gathered at a State Capitol and were shouted down by some 400 Americans backed up by about 300 police.
It's great to see that there's overwhelming opposition to race hate out there.

Why aren't the cops in OC arresting the white bums that solicit work on the freeway ramps?
I can't believe the BS the OC cops pulled. They were caught in a lie saying that HD called them when we all know it was someone from the SOS.
Anyway, it seems that it is against the law to ask for work in OC outside of stores - it's okay to panhandle though - what a riot . . .

Arrest white guys for brown crimes? Huh? I don';t think that's allowed in a fascist racist State. I mean if the fascists start treating everyone equally under the law, why blacks would be able to marry white women, gays would be allowed to marry, women be allowed to own property...
I mean that would be the start of a whole new revolution where everyone is Constitutionally equal, where the rights, liberties, and freedoms dictated by law applies to everyone equally.
Oh. Wait. We already had that. The War of Independence.
Funny how 200 years later some people are still not treated equall,y in this country based solely on their skin hue.

Grey areas...
Maybe standing with a sign, is different thatn waving your arm. One is a passive act the other is aggressive.
Also, the cops don't want people approaching vehicles in the streets, and opening doors. Stepping up to take a dollar from someones hand, is more safe than opening doors, with vehicles passing by.
Most persons at freeway offramps want a few dollars or "alms", for alcohol research.

Each day you spew, such stupid propaganda, you continue to reduce your value, to veterans. Given that statement, what value, should I, or any veteran place on your life?

I'm not neglecting or lacking respect for the military in general. I'm referring to the ones occupying Iraq. Their actions aren't making us safer or more free. But I have put aside some stronger feelings I have towards members of the US military in general. Very generally speaking.
I realize that many members of the military currently occupying Iraq were talked into it, persuaded by recruiters, are naive, even brainwashed. But there is still some independent choice there and that is why I'm critical of their choices. I do not respect the choice to join the military with the purpose of going to Iraq. And I consider, you can quote me Cilff May on this one, I consider war resisters to be absolute heros. The ones that refuse to go back, the ones who have moved to Canada, the ones that are speaking out. Those are true heros. I have always felt this way in regards to the Iraq war and the 21st century.

Not sure what FTS's reply above really means, but laughing at the death of US troops isn't in my nature. Why I have no respect for the decision to join the US military to go to Iraq, I'm not so emotional or bitter as to wish death upon them or anyone. There are protesters out there with nice messages such as "support the troops, bring them home." Some may use it to sound nice and sincere in the public. Some may actually mean it. Well I have no support for what they're doing. But I support human life and I say bring them home to save lives on all sides.

I keep seeing racist comments about illegal aliens. I have dual citizenship with America and the Netherlands. Given what I've seen with America's non-inforcement policy, I fully support managing citizenship and employment.
Our son speaks fluent Spanish, I don't speak it, but understand it well. We like the Mexican work ethic and family focus while despising the macho ethic in the culture that has caused Mexico so much pain for so many years.
We don't hate Mexicans or anyone that isn't American. I've worked in 108 countries and speak two European languages and three Asian languages in addition to English.
I wish that those who believe an open border is OK would stop making this a racist issue. It's not!
My wife is in sciences and I am in high tech executive management - we are not going to lose our jobs to illegal immigrants. HOWEVER, America needs to stop illegal immigration ASAP, then assess what "cheap labor" means to America without the racist bullshit being thrown out by anyone.
IMHO, Liberals are selling low income Americans out for what seems to be the "cause of the day." My counsel to low income Americans is to wear cowboy hats and speak with a lisp - perhaps these low intelligence Libs will mistake you for a gay cowboy and begin to whine in your behalf!
