"the intended target was Liberty Tower in Los Angeles"

by patriot Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at 10:51 PM

A lie or just a slip of the tongue? Only Bush's handlers know for sure!

"the intended t...
library_tower.jpg, image/jpeg, 200x267

On Thursday, February 9th, 2006, President George W. Bush said that

“We now know that in October 2001, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the September the 11th attacks, had already set in motion a plan to have terrorist operatives hijack an airplane using shoe bombs to breach the cockpit door and fly the plane into the tallest building on the West Coast. We believe the intended target was Liberty Tower in Los Angeles, California. Rather than use Arab hijackers as he had on September 11, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed sought out young men from Southeast Asia whom he believed would not arouse as much suspicion." The president went on to say, "As the West Coast plot shows, in the war on terror we face a relentless and determined enemy that operates in many nations - so protecting our citizens requires unprecedented cooperation from many nations as well. By working together, we took dangerous terrorists off the streets. By working together, we stopped a catastrophic attack on our homeland."

There is no Liberty Tower located in Los Angeles.

The photos of the building flashed around the country by an unquestioning media are of Library Tower ( www.glasssteelandstone.com/US/CA/LosAngelesLibraryTower.html ) - and the White House later issued a correction admitting the mistake. With his entire administration at stake over the controversy of maintaining surveillance on American citizens without first obtaining court orders, it's hard to imagine Bush making such an error - especially when the speech was so clearly designed to offset the controversy.

The terrorists never quit trying

by Border Raven Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at 12:42 AM

Al Queadda's mission is to attack 5 targets on the US West Coast.

They have not suceeded, yet.

They will keep trying until all five missions are complete.

This will not be a surprise attack. You know about it.

Fear the terrorist attack.
Fear the reaction of the population.
Fear the responses of the police and military.
Fear the fear.

Prepare

BR

think about it --please do

by Sheeodog Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at 6:48 AM

Are you serious? The only 'terrirsts' we have to fears are the ones from our
own intelligence/security services or their stooges.
'Operation Glaudio'

-Many members of Operation Gladio were also in a shadowy organization known as P-2; it too was financed by the CIA. P-2 had connections with the Vatican and the Mafia, and eventually with an international fascist umbrella organization called the World Anti-Communist League.

One of P-2's specialties was the art of provocation. Leftist organizations like the Red Brigades were infiltrated, financed and / or created, and the resulting acts of terrorism, like the assassination of Italy's premier in 1978 and the bombing of the railway station in Bologna in 1980, were blamed on the left. The goal of this "strategy of tension" was to convince Italian voters that the left was violent and dangerous-by helping make it so.

Complete and utter bullshit

by Fredric L. Rice Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 at 1:07 PM
frice@skeptictank.org

The mass murdering fascists come out with yet another outrageous, unevidenced lie to try to rook and swindle the uneducated rubes into trying to believe there's justification for this terrorist regime's crimes against humanity and treason against America.

What kind of sick fuck still believes anything the fascist Bush regime says?

tower in Los Angeles

by Meyer London Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at 2:31 PM

If you have ever seen what was formerly called the Library Tower in downtown Los Angeles (it is right across the street form the La Public Library) you already know that it would be an extremely difficult target to hit with a plane because it is surrounded by other very tall buildings. Thus it is unlikely that anyone would choose this as a target. Besides, what were the alleged terrorists going to do when their shoe bombs blew off their feet? Crawl into the cockpit?

Meyer London

by Meyer London Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at 1:46 PM

It is pretty clear that Scorpio has never walked around downtown Los Angeles. It is also clear that he knows nothing about how difficult it is to to turn a giant airliner. Too bad he wasn't flying one that hit the Twin Towers.

too bad he wasn't flying

by Meyer London Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at 4:49 PM

By saying too bad he wasn't flying one of the planes I meant he never would have hit the building; maybe the plane would have landed in the ocean and at least some people might have been saved.

demonstrate

by Meyer London Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006 at 11:15 AM

Why don't you demonstrate for us how easy it is? Pick out some high mountaintop surrounded by other high mountain tops in the Rockies, and fly a light plane around the other mountain tops and right into your target. We'll all be impressed; too bad you won't be around to bask in the glory.

good one, Mr. London

by Sheepdog Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006 at 6:13 PM

Anyway, has anyone considered just how HARD it is to steer a big ol airbarge
into a small building at high speed? Course correction like an iron bathtub.
And particularly at high speeds exceeding airframe specifications like above 350 mph at sea level...
But hey, anyone can rent the video.

Yeah sheep

Imagine how much harder it is to steer from remote control.

With your vision obscured by chemtrails.

remote control / chemtrails

by Glad you mentioned it Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at 7:29 AM

Global Hawk the technology of remote control.
Even fresca could fly like a pro.
Find chemtrails in a search engine.
Thank you.

battle of Britain

by Meyer London Wednesday, Mar. 01, 2006 at 8:51 AM

Good thing people like Fresca weren't flying those German planes during the Battle of Britain; Germany would have won World War II for sure.

What a nuanced, sophisticated and erudite response, Meyer! You're a credit to Socialist troglodytes everywhere!

Relax

by Meyer :London Wednesday, Mar. 01, 2006 at 11:07 AM

Maybe you'll land in a big pile of snow, 30 feet thick. Courtesy of Reagan and the Bushes, who did so much to advance the cause of global warming.

connected

by Meyer London Wednesday, Mar. 01, 2006 at 1:54 PM

I'd say the probabilities are that global warming is caused largely or entirely by industrial and automobile emissions into the atmosphere and by the cutting down of forests - all supported by Cheney, the Bushes, Reagan and yes, no doubt, by their flunkies in the Mossad.
