Speak Out at Cypress City Council Meeting-TONIGHT

by Street Soldier Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at 2:21 PM

see below

Cypress City Council to Consider Supporting Costa Mesa's Decision to Deputize Police Officers

The Cypress City Council will discuss whether to support the City of Costa Mesa's decision to enforce federal immigration laws at its meeting tonight. Mayor Allan Mansoor wrote a letter to Cypress seeking support of the divisive policy. Costa Mesa City Council approved the measure on December 7, 2005. Costa Mesa will be the first United States city to merge police and immigration duties.

This measure raises concerns among Mexicans and Central Americans throughout Orange County. Brown-skinned people will be subject to racial profiling, based on appearance and surname. The measure will also erode relations between immigrants and police, as immigrants will fear reporting crimes. Furthermore, vigilantism may increase, as residents may attack and harass people they believe to be undocumented.

Please show up to the Cypress City Council meeting to speak out against Costa Mesa's decision and ask the council not to support racist policies.

WHEN: Monday, January 9, 2006

TIME/WHERE: 7PM, 5275 Orange Ave. in Cypress

The Sleeping Giant Returns

by it begins Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at 10:29 AM

As popeye would say "I've had all I can stands and I can't stands no more!" Cypress and Costa Mesa have officially awaken the Sleeping Giant! We will not stand for such racist policies! Indy media now has a new ally...the Sleeping Giant, otherwise known as Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Voters and Politicians. I am officially through being a spectator and will now be an active member against the racist policies which Costa Mesa and the city of Cypress hope to enact!

The following reason is why we will be listened to: because our last name ends in B.A., B.S., M.S., M.P.H., M.B.A, Ph.D., J.D., M.D. - The Giant is Awake and he is hungry for Justice!

You forgot one B.S.

by Border Raven Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at 3:48 PM

You forgot one B.S., that stands for Bull Shit!

A college degree, is not a guarantee of inteligence.

It is nothing more, than a certificate of educational achievement, signifying one's ability to articulate their thoughts.

Don't you EVER FUCKING THINK FOR ONE FUCKING MINUTE, THAT PIECE OF SHIT PAPER, in that frame on your "I Love Me" wall, makes you a better person, than the jernalero, who cuts your grass.

#1. B.S. stands for a Bachelors in Science (which I have) B.A. stands for a Bachelors in Arts (which I also have)

#2 "A college degree...is nothing more, than a certificate of educational achievement, signifying one's ability to articulate their thoughts." - Correct

#3 "Don't you EVER FUCKING THINK FOR ONE FUCKING MINUTE, THAT PIECE OF SHIT PAPER, in that frame on your "I Love Me" wall, makes you a better person, than the jernalero, who cuts your grass." - I never did and neither should you!

My response: "Don't you EVER FUCKING THINK FOR ONE FUCKING MINUTE, THAT PIECE OF SHIT PAPER (your birth certificate), in that frame on your "I Love Me" wall, makes you a better person, than the jernalero, who cuts your grass."

He's a full-time employee of the landscaping contractor.

He must work at the stadium, because the lawn looks like it.
