The locked-out residents of Lincoln Place Apartments in Venice to invite you to an 'Ecumenical Mass' Friday night (Dec. 9) - this will be a very moving event and your presence will really help Lincoln Place residents keep up their fight and keep the spotlight on this issue.

Friday, December 9 - gather at 6:30 pm.

At the Lincoln Place Tent City at Frederick and California Streets in Venice, adjoining Lincoln Place Apartments, 1/2 block east of Lincoln Blvd next to Ross Dress For Less. You can see it from Lincoln Blvd.

Over 60 adults and 20 children were illegally locked out of their Lincoln Place apartments early Tuesday morning by AIMCO, the property owner. Please join the residents, see the historical Lincoln Place Apartments if you haven't already, and learn more about their struggle and the struggle for affordable housing in LA.

For more information you can call:
Clare Sassoon 310-403-0941
Laura Silagi 310-490-2872
Judy Branfman 310-486-2595

Please invite all your friends.

There will be a series of events over the next few weeks so stay tuned -

Demand Assistance from MExico

by Obssever Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at 3:37 PM

Why don't the 52 evicted families go to MExico and demand food stamps, shelter, free eeucation and medical care from the Mexican government.

US tax payers provide billions of dollars in public assistance to millions of Mexicans illegally in the USA.

Why shouldn't our good neighbor to the south, Mexico, return the favor for 52 disadvantaged familes?

(Answer: Because Mexico is a corrupt third world sewer that won't do anything for its own people, much less dirty rotten gringos.)

Who need the education?

by Kadafi Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at 10:03 PM
kadafioutlaw@hotmail.com

It's obvious who is lacking the education. I emphasize EDUCATION. One thing to consider my friend, illegals as well as naturalized citizens pump billions not millions in to the economy. So cut the crap about illegals draining the system. IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN!!!
