Despite major setbacks at the hands of anti-racism activists in L.A. County and elsewhere, SOS, the Minuteman affiliated, anti-immigrant group, is coming back to L.A. County and plans to stage a rally in Glendale on Saturday, December 10, from 8am - 11am.
Rumors of the rally taking place from 3am-5am have been proven unfounded.
Major recent anti-racism victories include the 6/18 Home Depot event in Alhambra, Laguna Beach II in July and both Baldwin Park anti-SOS events earlier in the year which drew upwards of 1000 people both times.
Just about every time the SOS counter protesters organize any kind of resistance they have always outnumbered the SOS crew and there have even been times when SOS has been outnumbered by the nazis on their own side, namely Laguna Beach II.
To my knowledge it has been several months since SOS has been back to L.A. County.

Home Depot
5040 San Fernando Road
Glendale, CA 91204
WHEN:
Saturday, December 10th
8AM - 11PM
We will most likely gather at the corner of Harvard & San Fernando Road.
Notice the day labor center is right across the street from the Home Depot in Glendale, almost on top of the railroad tracks. It wouldn't be there without the financial support of Home Depot.
There appears to be only two avenues of entry into Home Depot from San Fernando Road. If you are heading southeast on San Fernando, you make a left onto Harvard. If you are heading northwest on San Fernando, you will probably make a right into the little driveway.
SOS and Minutemen are "anti-illegal-immigration".
Legal immigrants are welcome, as long as they obey our laws.
We are working to get the "anchor baby" loophole closed.
You have the right to leave.
Self-deportation is highly recommended.
I found this on the SOS webpage:
http://www.saveourstate.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5598&hl= It's in response to a post made by BorderRaven, an SOS member and organizer who also posted a comment "anti-illegal immigration" here on Indymedia. This quote comes from the SOS boards "A Day at Campo" when a Finnish documentary film crew came. The first paragraph is written by another racist SOS member. BorderRaven wrote the remaining message.

So what did the liberal Finn's think of the whole deal? I'm sure the documentary in Finland will show the poor Mexicans being tormented by the American cowboys! Of course, what do I know!
BorderRaven:
I have no idea what they think of it, but there wasn't much to show. The producer was a female, about 30+ and the cameraman could have passed for a "skinhead" with his shaved head. Both were very nice. The cameraman did move around to find different camera angles. We were at the PCT Monument, and they had Jim in an interview, witht he camera down low shooting upward.
After they ended the filming, at the monument, they all moved eastward. Some people stayed the night, but I had to get back home.
I got to meet some great people in the movement, down there. Men and women, who care about our nation. True patriots. I'll be making unschedueled trips down there. I want to establish an observation post, manned 24/7.
If what you were saying were true, then the racist attacks against Puerto Ricans on your site wouldn't be there. As for leaving.... I have another idea, how bout we stay, and you can get back on your boat and self deport yourself.
I already heard about this from several different sources. It ought to be a great turnout.
How amusing. Another good opportunity to smack down hate and bigotry.
Racists never learn -- which is a good thing. We don't want them festering in the dark. We want them waving their Nazi flags and Confederate flags on street corners where everybody can see them.
My opinions only and only my opinions.
Funny how you guys mention nothing of the waving, mexican flag bearers. Your failure to discourage them, places you in the same pot calling kettle black category.
And Fred Rice "smacking" someone down? Don't make me laugh....it hurts when I laugh
