Today is ELECTION DAY. The first thing you will do is VOTE TODAY! The polling places are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Remember to Nix the First Six, so Vote No on 73-78; Yes on 79 and 80.
Your polling place is on the back of your County booklet. It can also be found at the Voter Assistance Hotline at line at 1-800-345-VOTE or, for all counties, at:
http://ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_ppl.htm You can also vote at your County Registrar of Voters, found at:
http://ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_ppl.htm Election results for all counties may be found at:
http://vote2005.ss.ca.gov/ The first results at 8 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. will just be the absentees, which tend to be the most conservative, so do not get upset. It will be a close race and we have to wait for Los Angeles County to report, so we will not have a good idea of what the final results may be until 10 p.m., and much better results at 11 p.m.
The weather is clear now and is expected to be dry most of the day, so vote early. After all, you go shopping, go to work and to school in all kinds of weather, so you can certainly vote in any weather, and today is reasonably good for the season.
Solidarity forever!
