Breaking News - alleged bomb threat at OCT 22 march against police brutality.
As the march moved up Broadway, it was stopped by the police at First street. According to Jim Lafferty, a red box left in front of City Hall East drew the attention of the police bomb squad, and it is being investigated. A six block area around the building is cleared. He believes that the march will proceed after the issue is cleared up.
In the meantime, the organizers of the October 22 march against police brutality and the criminalization of a generation are making speeches as the people wait. They appear to be making the best of this inopportune inconvenience.
No other activity has been reported.

yes, yes!!! imagine a mass of people dressed in black running, grinning their asses off down temple, once the pigs figured out the "bomb" wasn't real. as an older punker, allow me to say it makes me really happy to see younger punk anarchists. it gets me so nostalgic!! fuck the pigs!!! free those who were arrested!!!
