Judith Miller & Larry Franklin, sitting in a tree...

I wrote here that I believed the whole fiasco surrounding Judith Miller and her role in leaking Valerie Plame's identity was nothing more than a PR initiative on the part of the Publisher of The New York Times and Ms. Miller to rehabilitate her reputation in the aftermath of all that whoring for war in Iraq she and her paper are guilty of. Admittedly, I was reaching, but nothing else made sense at the time.

Upon hearing the news that she had changed her mind and was prepared to testify, my initial reaction was, "Aha! I was right!" The story we are given again makes no sense. Her claim that she wasn't about to rat out her source until she was released by her source to do so is contradicted by none other than the source himself, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, chief of staff for Vice President Cheney. Mr. Libby's lawyer told Ms. Miller's lawyer that she was free to testify... a year ago!

I recall reading the letters to the editor section in The Times shortly after Miller was jailed and of course you'd expect a sampling of letters favorable to the little war monger but these were simply nauseating in the way they celebrated this woman as though she were some kind of champion of the First Amendment! This was a publicity stunt. And a very successful one at that.

Right?

Wrong. I now believe something far more sinister is afoot.

There were other developments that day [SEPTEMBER 30th 2005 - Judith Miller agrees to testify], including one item which, given an unbiased media, should have merited a headline in next day's paper.

I refer of course to the news that Lawrence A. Franklin, the former Defense Department [@ OFFICE OF SPECIAL PLANS - under Douglas Feith] analyst charged in a far-ranging national security inquiry with passing classified military information to pro-Israel lobby AIPAC, had agreed to a guilty plea.

Why would someone agree to plea guilty? In hopes of getting a reduced sentence. Why would prosecutors agree to such a plea? In hopes of getting testimony out of the accused so that others might be indicted as well.

It's difficult to get the exact timeline, but it really does appear that Judith Miller's decision to come forward came only hours after the news that Franklin was going to testify. Is that just coincidence? I don't think so.

Remember that much of Judith Miller's notoriety stems from the fact that she played up Ahmed Chalabi's lies about Iraqi WMD and Iraqi atrocities and turned them all into propaganda for war by successfully smearing it all on the front page of The New York Times. And Ahmed Chalabi of course was doing this at the behest of the Pentagon, answering to none other than our new witness for the prosecution, Lawrence Franklin. This is the same office that was connected to Cheney in the prevarication about Saddam shopping for yellow-cake and the subsequent attempt to cover it up by going after Joseph Wilson who, of course, had to be punished for writing that editorial, What I Didn't Find in Africa.

There are just too many lines connecting the dots.

And perhaps the more compelling of those lines is the way the media has reported this story. Of course it makes no sense for Miller to suddenly agree to testify, so what was needed was a way of misdirecting the reader's efforts at understanding why she made this choice only now into harmless territory. Better to have the readers believe that Judith Miller is a flake than to see her at the center of a huge conspiracy designed to benefit big oil and Israel, and to America's great expense.

So, the key to this prosecution is to identify what the "criminal purpose" was, and to prove that theses individuals conspired to that end.

In the case of the Plame leak and Judith Miller's role therein, the criminal purpose was to extend the useful life of the forged (Niger Yellowcake) document (a document of their own creation via Fred Fleitz and the Office Of Special Plans - a Cheney Operation working at cross purposes to the US Intelligence Community), long enough so that it could be referenced in the President's State Of The Union Address (which it was, under Cheney's direct supervision), in order to compel Congress (at the behest of their frightened constituents) to provide the President of the United States with the authority to wage war against a sovereign nation, under a false pretense.

All of the top operatives working for the Office Of Special Plans (including Judith Miller) are coconspirators, and their criminal purpose was to ensure that false information was conveyed to (and relied upon by) the President of the United States as a pretext for war.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld cobbled together a group of ideologically like-minded allies to form the Office of Special Plans. Intelligence reports coming out of this office seemed to be at a striking variance from intelligence reports that went into the office. The Office of Special Plans operated out of the Pentagon, and beyond any Congressional oversight. The Office of Special Plans was run primarily by Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith, and by William Luti, a former navy officer and former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney.

In order to make sure the Office of Special Plans received and forwarded intelligence reports symmetrical to preconceived notions, this group, according to news reports, used senior administration officials to browbeat intelligence analysts. Vice President Cheney made several unprecedented trips to CIA headquarters to demand "forward-leaning" interpretations of the threat posed by Iraq. When he was unable to do this, he sent his senior aide, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, to perform this task in his stead. On several occasions, former Representative Newt Gingrich appeared before the analysts to demand that they toughen up their assessments of the threat posed by Iraq. He did so as an emissary of the Office of Special Plans.

Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and career Pentagon official Karen Kwiatkowski worked under Douglas Feith, and worked often with the Office of Special Plans, until her retirement in April of 2003. "What I saw was aberrant, pervasive and contrary to good order and discipline," said Kwiatkowski in August of 2003. "If one is seeking the answers to why peculiar bits of 'intelligence' found sanctity in a presidential speech, or why the post-Saddam occupation has been distinguished by confusion and false steps, one need look no further than the process inside the Office of the Secretary of Defense."

Kwiatkowski went on to charge that the operations she witnessed during her time in Feith's office, and particularly those of the Office of Special Plans, constituted, "a subversion of constitutional limits on executive power and a co-optation through deceit of a large segment of the Congress." Most importantly, Kwiatkowski stated, "What these people are doing now makes Iran-Contra look like amateur hour. . . it's worse than Iran-Contra, worse than what happened in Vietnam."

Ms. Kwiatkowski further confirmed that Israeli Military Generals were free to come and go at the Office Of Special Plans without the requirement to record evidence of their visits in the guest register log book.

Why is PNAC an important piece of the Iraq puzzle? It is important because individuals, soon to become high-ranking members of the Bush administration, signed on to their goals, their policies, and their ideology.

In short, members of the Project for a New American Century control, from top to bottom, the national security and military apparatus of the United States. Their motives and ultimate goals, therefore, deserve close scrutiny. The flagship document put forth by PNAC was produced in 2000, and is titled 'Rebuilding America's Defenses.' In it, PNAC made their case for an invasion of Iraq is made more than a year before the September 11 terrorist attacks. Page 26 of the report carries the following lines: "The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein."

The 9/11 attacks on US soil were that "New Pearl Harbor" which was described in the PNAC as the pretext for the occupation of the Middle East by US troops. To assume otherwise, one must be a "Coincidence Theorist." To this day, President Bush continues to mention 9/11 and Iraq together in his speeches to justify our occupation.

Israel's role in the events of 9/11 has been systematically covered up by none other than Homeland Security Chief, Michael Chertoff, himself a dual-citizenship Israeli. Michael Chertoff, the new head of the Department of Homeland Security, was approved in a 98-0 vote in the U.S. Senate without the question of his Israeli roots - and nationality - even being raised.

On February 15, 2005, Michael Chertoff, an apparent dual national with Israeli roots, was sworn in as the second Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The new "homeland security czar," who oversees the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services, seems to be hiding his own dual-national status - with the cooperation of the controlled press.

During the period before and after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, Chertoff headed the criminal division at the Department of Justice where he "helped trace the 9/11 terrorist attacks to the al-Qaida network."

"Chertoff headed the Justice Department's criminal division when hundreds of foreigners were swept up on minor charges and held for an average of 80 days," The Washington Post reported. "Some detainees were denied their right to see a lawyer, were not told of the charges against them, or were physically abused."

At the same time, Chertoff allowed scores of suspected Israeli terrorists and spies to quietly return to Israel. In several cases, Israeli suspects working for phoney moving companies, such as Urban Moving Systems from Weehawken, N.J., were caught driving moving vans which tested positive for explosives. On September 14, Dominic Suter, the owner of the moving company, which was found to be a Mossad front company, fled to Israel after FBI agents requested a second interview.

One group of 5 Israelis was seen on the roof of Urban Moving Systems videotaping and celebrating the destruction of the World Trade Center. These Israeli agents were returned to Israel on visa violations.

These Israeli suspects, and others, who had apparently transported explosives in the New York area, were allowed to return to Israel without being properly interrogated or their presence and activities in the United States having been vigorously investigated.

Shortly after the collapse of the towers a witness called the police and reported that the 5 individuals were, "going to unusual lengths to photograph the World Trade Center ruins" and they were obviously and blatantly "making light of the situation." The witness stated that these men were on the roof of the office of their employer, Urban Moving Company, and were posing, dancing, and laughing. After their indiscreet celebration on the roof of the building, the five Israelis headed down to a nearby parking lot where they mounted the roof of their truck and resumed their photographing and celebrating. Another witness called the police and told them that the men were smiling, dancing, and giving each other high-fives while viewing the destruction of the symbol of Free Enterprise in America. A few hours later, the five Israelis were stopped by police while driving their truck. One individual had $4,700 in cash hidden in his sock, while another had two foreign passports. They were also found to be in the possession of a box- cutter, which they presumably had because of their job as professional movers. On September 14, Dominic Suter, the owner of the moving company, left the country very abruptly after FBI agents indicated that they wanted a second interview with him. According to ABC News' 20/20 [ABC News 6/21/02], "Three months later 20/20's cameras photographed the inside of Urban Moving, and it looked as if the business had been shut down in a big hurry. Cell phones were lying around; office phones were still connected; and the property of dozens of clients remained in the warehouse. The owner had also cleared out of his New Jersey home, put it up for sale and returned with his family to Israel." [New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, 12/13/01; Gotham Gazette 11/2/01; ABC News, 6/21/02; Forward, 3/15/02]

Shortly after the arrest of the men, FBI officials suspected that the Urban Moving company was an Israeli intelligence front. Vince Cannistraro, a former chief of operations for counterterrorism, told ABC News that the FBI was concerned that the moving company had been "set up or exploited for the purpose of launching an intelligence operation against radical Islamists in the area, particularly in the New Jersey-New York area." [ABC News, 6/21/02]

The five employees that were taken into custody were all former members of the Israeli Army. After being transferred to jail, the FBI's Criminal Division sent the case to the Counterintelligence Section on account of suspicions that they were Israeli spies. Remember Cheney's secret meetings with the leaders of the BIG OIL COMPANIES? Remember how hard he fought to keep the details of those meetings out of the public eye?

So the closer Fitzgerald and others get to the truth, the more "terrorist attacks" we will see (yesterday, Bali - tomorrow?). The question you need to ask yourself is simple... who are the real terrorists? It is not an understatement to say that the future of America and indeed, the world, depends on getting this matter resolved immediately. The list of the guilty includes those with the ability and the motive to launch a nuclear war, if only to declare Martial Law and attempt to save their own skins in the process.

With Franklin's guilty plea to espionage charges on behalf of Israel, all bets are off.

Note the lengths to which President Bush has gone in the aftermath of the Hurricane Katrina debacle to protect Michael Chertoff. Chertoff was put in charge of "Operation Greenquest" in order to coverup the financing of 9/11, just as he had covered up matters pertaining to the financing of the earlier bombing of the World Trade Center.

Chertoff and the FBI strongly impeded and obstructed the US Customs and Homeland Security operation Greenquest investigating the Saudi, Ptech and other terror money sources for 9-11.
