A Glimpse Into SOS...

XAMOT: Ha ha. That is the most pathetic house I have ever seen. I would hate to imagine what the local community pool looks like. Do they really live that way? Wow! Can you imagine if they moved over here? We would have miles of towns just like that but in Lompoc or something. These people obviously don't understanding simple principles of ingineering. Try some drywall people!

LOL

DK1964: That's actually a compter enhanced photo showing what the Hollywood Hills will be like in 10 years. Yes, they'll be movin on up! You know...I was thinking....since there are so many illegals hanging drywall, why do there homes end up looking like these. I just can't understand that. Is it a cultural thing or what? Is our vision of a nice house and theirs totally different?

Polly: SCARY VISIONS AND THOUGHTS! IT’S TRUE HOW ILLEGALS COME TO THE U.S. AND HELP BULID BEAUTIFUL HOMES AND WHAT EVER...BUT THEY PERFER TEN FAMILIES LIVING IN A ONE BEDROOM CARD BOARD LEAN-TO, GO FIGURE.
IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD A MULTI-ETHNIC CULTURED HAS TAKEN OVER. I CAN’T IMAGE LIVING WITH OVER TEN PEOPLE IN A THREE BEDROOM ONE AND A HALF BATH HOUSE, THERE’S NO PARKING. HOWEVER I STOPPED THEM FROM PARKING ON THE LAWN, I WASN’T SHY TO TELL THEM THE LAW.
WHERE CAN WE GO WHERE THERE ARE NO ILLEGALS? THEIR EVERYWHERE BRINGING THEIR THIRD WORLD ATTITUDE HERE TO U.S. AND ITS REALLY SHOWING.

XAMOT: HA HA. You live next to them? You would think that somone in such a great country could take ahold of the available educational opportunities and at least afford to live away from illegal imigrants. This is too funny. They need to leave our country and you need to go back to school.

Most of the World Lives Like This

by johnk Friday, Jun. 24, 2005 at 3:31 PM

Most of the world lives like this.

Most of the world lives in shacks or huts. Of the shack-dwellers, like many of the people pictured above, they live near cities and participate in the city economy. Squatters exist in almost every city in the world.

Here's a link to a book about it that I recently learned about.

http://squattercity.blogspot.com/

One of the causes of this kind of poverty is "private property" gone out of control, where too few people own too much land.
