Unite and Fight Back! Stop Budget Cuts & Privatization!
WHEN: Tuesday, June 14, 5:00 pm
WHERE: Corner of Pico & 17th St, Santa Monica College
On June 14, Schwarzenegger is coming to Santa Monica College to speak to graduating students. Meanwhile, he wants to cut education funding, teacher's wages, pensions and jobs across California. The Governor's big business campaign for a $70 million special election this coming fall is not only an attack on workers and students in California, it is intended to pave the way for pension privatization and anti-union campaigns across the country. Schwarzenegger has also given his clear support to the reactionary "Minutemen" project that is targeting immigrants along the border--an outrageous attack on immigrant workers. We must unite to stop these racist attacks in their tracks.
Join SMC protest againt Schwarzenegger to tell him
that students, teachers, nurses, workers,
immigrants and retired people are NOT "special interests!"
(FYI: There is a planned counter-protest by Arnold supporters to this event. So it's important to show up and be heard)
