EMERGENCY COMMUNITY RESPONSE ACTION AT THE D.A.'S OFFICE IN ORANGE COUNTY TO BE HELD JUNE 1ST AT 4 PM!!!
There will be an emergency action at the Orange County District Attorney's office in Santa Ana on June 1st at 4 PM. If you are outraged at the way the police handled the situation that has resulted in a known bigot who now walks free while five demonstrators are facing serious felony charges, come out to stand up as a community. We will demand that:
1) All charges against the accused be dropped. 2) Criminal charges be filed against Hal Netkin. 3) An independent investigation into misconduct be brought against the Garden Grove Police Department. Bring drums, accordians, jaranas, still and video cameras, chants, and your good spirit!
Please be advised that The May 25 Legal Defense is a coalition of community members and organizations that has come together with the following Points of Unity:
• This is a nonviolent, peaceful demonstration. We will organize and make preparations to best ensure everyone’s safety.
• We will not provoke nor engage with others in a way that threatens our security. We will also be wary of those who may seek to provoke or engage us in ways that are dangerous and/or criminal.
• We will offer solidarity to victims of aggression by police or other oppositional parties. We will determine what the best course of action is for the individual and the group.
• “No Human is Illegal!” We oppose this fictitious idea of “border” that fuels racist nationalism, helps to maintain the power of certain nation-states, and divides us as human beings connected and dependent on the Earth.
• We stand together and work collectively across national, racial, gender, class, generational, sexual orientation, and other lines that seek to pit us against one another. Under the banner of anti-racism and internationalism, we unite and will work to build a long-term movement for a “world in which many worlds exist.”

All politics put aside.... there are reasons people aren't convicted... its called evidence... Netkin was released after police watched a videotape that showed protesters surrounding the vehicle, banging on it and refusing to move, said Garden Grove Police Lt. Mike Handfield. About 300 protesters at the scene were “trying to intimidate him and refused to let him pass,” Handfield said. By night’s end, five demonstrators had been arrested.
{snip}
The protesters blocked the entrance and tossed soda cans and cans packed with marbles at police and attendees, Handfield said. They kicked, banged and threw rocks at cars; some wore latex gloves and hoods so they wouldn’t be identified by police, Handfield said. Some attendees decided not to enter the building because they feared violence.

Reality check: the cops say they have a video that exonerates them, so it must be true. Who's seen it? You, "Unbiased"?
We have witnesses, the cops have Handfield, so, according to the "Unbiased" comments, the demonstrators are liars, the cops are telling the truth.
"All politics put aside" my ass. Politics according to Unbiased_Va are that the police must be right be telling the truth because they're the police. I don't know anyone who's fallen for that one in forty years, except a few yokels up in the hills.

This site is such a sad joke. Just look at these messages.
HEY EVERYONE! LETS HOLD A VIGIL AND RAISE MONEY TO HELP PEOPLE FACING CHARGES FOR VIOLENT FELONIES!
Wow! Must be a great way to spend time supporting violence and felonies. Supporting those that violate the CIVIL RIGHTS Americans enjoy by engaging in violent and threatening behavior.
I'm glad the FBI and Homeland Securtiy is all over these terrorst jerks. I hope more are arrested soon before more law abiding Americans are hurt or intimidated.
Note one injury or infraction reported by the Minuteman Project, Save Our State, or anyone but these clowns have violated numerous laws and attacked several people in just a few protests.
Time for a crackdown!

And thus attempted murder is okay?
Let's face some embarrassing truths here. Had the suspect been wearing dark skin after running over a bunch of peaceful white protesters, he would be sitting in a jail cell right now trying to arange bail.
Another embarrassing truth: the suspect deliberately drove into the crowd of peaceful protesters who then responded in kind -- which they shouldn't have done. The racists provoked the good guys -- in Garden Grove as well as in Baldwin Park.
