The absurdity of a governor who is cutting funding for education speaking at a graduation ceremony is an insult that should not go on without protest. Students and the local community are working to form a regional collation to protest this. The Progressive Alliance ( antirecruite@yahoo.com ) has initiated a call to all local groups to mobilize. Planning meeting this coming Monday the 23th at Velocity Cafe 2127 Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica (Pearl & Lincoln) at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This is a great cafe with free internet and lots of activists drinking strong coffee. :-)

That's not a huge complement because it's not hard to eclipse yo-yos like Jerry Brown and Gray Davis. That's easier than buying a hamburger at MacDonalds. It's great to see that California voted for a Republican Governor. That proves that the left coast is not completely brain dead (which most of us feared could be the case). Hopefully we'll dump Barbara Boxer and the other lame Democrats at first opportunity. They need to be replaced by clear thinking Republicans ASAP.
