A call for rallies to counter the pope propaganda

A call for rallies to counter the pope propaganda

This is a call for all who see the lies and hypocrisy of the current media love fest over the death of the pope to rally and demonstrate. This should not be seen as Anti-Christian or Anti-Catholic, but rather as an understanding of the true meaning of the life of Christ.

The church and the state are corrupt. The pope was anti-gay, anti-women’s rights, anti-abortion. He presided over a code of silence that enabled pedophiles to victimize with impunity. He talked long and eloquently of human rights yet turned a deaf ear to the pleads for help from activist bishops and cardinals the world over.

Let’s organize a demonstration to counter the current mass media propaganda. Let’s do it in a manner that is respectful of people's faith, yet gets them to think about the contradiction between what the church preaches and what it actually does. This is also a great opportunity to point out the contradictions of the BuSh regime and their agenda to merge church and state.

It sounds like a great opportunity for you to get yourself beaten to a pulp by some angry mob or to give the media a chance to make the left look foolish and off its collective rocker in the eyes of the masses. Demonstrating against a recently dead and popular Pope is foolhardy. Much better to concentate on Iraq, on poverty here and abroad, and on environmental disaster right now.

There is probably a photo of him shaking hands with the head of state of every country he ever visited - including those with governments at least claiming to be Marxist. So what? The left would still look foolish demonstrating against a dead pope and such an adventure would be certain to alienate people who must be reached.
