A number of photos from the action against the war in and occupation of Iraq on March 19th in Los Angeles.

I was impressed with the thousands of Los Angelenos that took to the soggy streets this afternoon to protest the perpetual war (and many other of the heinous aspects) of the Bush regime. We all agree that blood for oil is wrong, so here's my suggestion for a daily way that we can all use less oil: ride a bike. Please. And check out Bike Summer LA: BikeSummer2005 We're gonna get more people rockin' the 2 wheels in the City of Angels and it's going to be great.

Yeah, a lot of people died when Clinton lied - in Serbia, in Iraq during the Desert Fox ("Wag the Dog" bombings) and when he blew up the factory in Sudan that made anti malaria medications. We can thank the Monica Lewinsky mess because otherwise Clinton would probably have privatized social security and possibly invaded Iraq.

Re the "velolution" - friends have started a bke station in Long Beach where you leave your bike "locked up " near the train station. It is a pretty sight and very popular and should proliferate with other sponsers throughout the city/state/country. But in spite of all these well meant efforts, watch a little film called "The End of Suburbia" and you will see that nothing is going to save us from the end-of-oil-on-our-planet crisis. We are being forced by our greed to life back in cities again where transportation will be public and life will enter a mew phase for our children and grandchildren.

A lot of us agree that Clinton was a terrorist too. Under his sanctions, 3,000 children died every month in Iraq (approximately 288,000 children). The republicans and democrats are in this together, and support for either party equates to the "good German" syndrome. That is why we were in Seattle for the WTO (not me personally, but the movement as a whole). The movement shouldn't be just an anti-bush rally (though it should be anti-bush), it should be an anti American Imperialism one.
