Actual Astrology for January 26 -31, 2005

by freemagic Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at 5:26 AM

These predictions, based on Actual Astrology, are rather like a weather report. No matter what your sun sign, these are the astrological conditions of the days ahead.

February: It’s Happy New Year All Over Again

This February, your success depends on anything but luck. Luck, the sort for which we always, at least secretly, hope is NOT going to hold the answers to your needs now. Love, faith, intelligence and focused aggression do. Jupiter, ruler of luck and expansion, is going retrograde on February 1st and will stay that way until June 5th. Retrograde, or when the planet appears to go backward, is a period when, astrologically, the qualities ruled by that planet are less accessible. They have “turned inward”. Those who build their plans on luck will not find needed luck available when needed and so those plans will fail. Luck is wonderful but, frankly, for your plans to work for you well, now and in the long run, they have to be based on much more reliable stuff than luck. Not depending on luck for your success seems a simple enough demand for this first month of what will be a whole new astrological year, but Jupiter retrograde has other considerations. Those not as enlightened as you about these matters will go about trusting luck as they did last fall, and their confusion and frustrations over the results will show you just how much they thought their gains were based solely on their own efforts. Luck may have played a greater part in your own fortunes than you’d think. So, think, and be exceedingly conservative in these matters now.

Timing is an art. And art, while sometimes sort of science, is never natural. The aesthetics of nature aren’t art. Astrology, which claims to be both an art and science, isn’t natural either. This February’s new moon on the 8th is officially Tet, the so-called oriental New Year. This particular Chinese New Year is that of the Rooster. What makes this the year of the Rooster is that Jupiter is in the sign of the Rooster or, on our star charts, Virgo. However, Jupiter actually entered Virgo way back last summer. So, if you’ve seemed to slip into some investigative study in nit-picking, blame the stars but take advantage of the fact that the stars do favor doing exactly that, and much of your fortune which now can’t depend on luck can be found in the details with which you’re wrestling. Be careful and thorough, even if you think you’ve already done all that, and you’ll be amazed at the results. What was an accomplishment last year is now a building block to something much larger. While that means a lot more of what was already a lot of work, it is part of your great work, your holier stuff that should and will reap rewards, financial and spiritual, and all things considered, with a lot less stress than you’d expect. What was last year a problem and challenge may be well on its way to becoming a new and better career.

Special Instructions: The first week of this month is going to be difficult. People will have to adjust to the new astrological conditions and that will take time which they don’t have and cause mishaps they can ill afford. This same week is the prelude to the new lunar year of the Rooster or Virgo. The astrological year just passing now, that of the Monkey or Leo, will not hold the usual problems. The transition in this regard is smoother but the psychic tide, made up of the thoughts and feelings of those around you and through which you must navigate daily, will be filled with tricky currents, undertows and an unbelievable amount of psychic pollution. So, take the time daily, starting now, to fill your psychic space with energy. Another way of saying that is, fill your aura. Another way is to breathe in the vital energy in the air as a martial artist does, to fill your physical being as well as thoughts and feelings with rejuvenating power. This is an important little personal ceremony as it subconsciously reinforces the need to keep a mental guard up. Cruel words, violent tempers, stupid accidents, and destructive frustration will abound and that’s bound to affect the general mood. The more mentally armored against all that you are, the better for you and your plans. This is not a lucky month nor is next month nor the one thereafter, but that does not mean they aren’t good times. Being in good shape mentally helps make the difference in getting what you want. In the process, treat your life like the precious gift it truly is.

All times are given in Pacific Standard Time

Wednesday, January 26th

Hi ho let’s go! It’s a great day in the morning and not a bad afternoon. By evening you should be exhausted.

Leo moon goes Void at 12:08 PM and enters the 8th House of Karma and Banked Money at 8:56 PM.

Moon sextile Jupiter 5:07 AM

Moon trine Mars 12:08 PM

Moon trine Pluto 2:42 PM

Take those vows you made by the light of last night’s full moon and put them into action today. The next two weeks will be the most challenging and expect that there will be a lot of distractions in the headlines and among your near and dear to keep you from your important duties. Be strict. That strictness must extend to include you. Now, more than any time in the last year, every minute of every day must have its prearranged purpose. Today that purpose is to push hard. Capitalize on those positive feelings to which you committed yourself. Having done your best, don't brag. Just rest.

Thursday, January 27th

Take the day off. Don’t spend it hating what you do. Do something different. Spend the day hating that.

Leo moon enters Virgo at 10:02 PM

Venus opposes Saturn 12:55 PM

Moon opposes Uranus 1:41 PM

All those good intentions of the full moon will be threatened today and if you let your guard slip, you will be in the position of destroying what you want to build because you’re tired of trying so hard. That’s understandable but it isn’t to the point to get what you want you have to do more. Today is not the day to attempt that. Just as there are times to have planned to work, today is a time to have planned for the violent mood and residual resentment. If you can, take the time to consider those things you truly do hate for what you believe to be righteous reasons and leave the good stuff alone.

Friday, January 28th

There’s just enough energy to summon up your efforts for one more move before the work week’s over.

Virgo moon

Mars conjuncts Pluto 12:47 PM

Today is not a powerful day but you can accomplish a powerful lot if you managed to keep your moods under control yesterday and especially last night when you should have been tired and therefore perhaps not as well defended or in control as you should be to serve your purposes. Today’s push may not be as fearsome as recent ones but that doesn’t mean that you can’t accomplish great gains. The biggest hurdles you must make now, aside from controlling your energy and not losing heart, is in taking on those next challenges which have seemed to hold you back.

Saturday, January 29th

You can’t rest up; this weekend, like last, there’s very little energy and a whole lot that’s lucky to do.

Virgo moon

Moon trines Saturn 12:00 AM

Moon squares Pluto 1:58 AM

Moon squares Mars 2:54 AM

Moon trines Venus 4:12 AM

Moon trines Mercury 1:09 PM

Here is another day when astrological timing pays off. If you follow your mood as most will, you will miss this great opportunity. Take yesterday’s efforts and draw as much attention to them as possible. That does not mean bragging to the neighbors but more like sending out press releases. This will be a hectic day so expect distractions. Be prepared to take them in stride by continually striding forward toward your goal. Show others how what you are doing is important to them. Solicit help not for you but for the mutual cause. Force yourself to be positive; those listening need to see that.

Sunday, January 30th

Virgo moon enters the 9th House of Speculation at 11:21 AM.

Sun trine Moon 11:21 AM

Moon trine Neptune 6:47 PM

Turn on your psychic heel and make a show of apologizing and appeasing any you might have offended.

This is a good day to seek forgiveness even if you feel perfectly justified in how you are behaving. It is not that you have to be sorry but that you have to recognize that those who are not with you in your efforts aren’t in this case really against you, just lazy and stupid. Don’t be cruel. Don’t explain. Just express sorrow at having been hurtful. As much as it is important to maintain a certain domestic tranquility to accomplish what you want, it is also necessary that you keep after what you want and the less others are in your way, the better. Appease those potentially disruptive forces of your near and dear to free time in the immediate future. That future starts later tonight, tomorrow.

Monday, January 31st

Virgo moon

Moon conjunct Jupiter 2:11 AM

Moon square Saturn 8:56 AM

Moon sextile Pluto 11:17 AM

Moon sextile Mars 3:21 PM

Moon square Venus 7:24 PM

Forget about working hard. Trust your luck and thrust yourself into what you need to and if necessary prepare some new apologies but don’t miss this last best chance for luck until the summer.

The month ends on an extremely lucky day and that is only one reason to have taken the time yesterday to soothe ruffled feathers as you don’t want any irritated loved ones messing up your opportunities or throwing off the timing of your all-out effort. I say this as there is every potential of exactly that happening. So having been nice, today is the day to be busy. Postpone continuing yesterday’s talks. The way to press your luck today is again by doing what you do best and most easily. Work will as mentioned seem too much work and expect that the social side of things won’t be receptive at all. With these limitations, plan out the best way to employ your energies, even if that does not include showing off this time. The month ahead is very different, more difficult and for that matter dangerous. Act now and keep at it.

* To make an 8,000 - 10,000 year long story short, Actual Astrology is the kind practiced by those great little guys who invented astrology. To the peoples of Sumeria and, for all we know, before, the study of the movements of the astral bodies and their relationships to earthly events was ever of extreme importance. They documented both. Their astrological reports recording planetary and star positions included observations of the weather, market prices, political change, royal disposition, water levels, birth defects, the appearance of strange animals, the flights of birds, the dreams of common people and the behavior of livestock. These people, founders of civilization, and those who followed, Assyrians and Babylonians treated this study as a state project. In time, it became both the science and religion of these peoples. Thousands of people, over thousands of years, observed and recorded, considered and calculated, creating the only database of this kind. For 2000 years after the fall of Babylon, astronomy fell to not thousands of people, but three - Hipparchus, Ptolemy and Copernicus - and they didn’t bother to note concurrent events. Western astrology today is built on formulas and fallacies designed by Greeks who couldn’t read cuneiform.

**IMPORTANT. When the Moon goes Void, or Void of Course, it means the moon has made its last significant aspect in a sign and will be considered Void or Void of Course until it changes signs. It is commonly held that things begun when the moon is Void will come to nothing. These times are, however, usually excellent for taking care of old business.

Notice that some of the astrological information here, like the time of exact planetary aspects, is very similar to what you will find in other sources you may study. However, the timing of Moon Voids and the house and sign changes of the astrological bodies are among the original calculations that will not agree with other sources. It is my belief that the information given here, based on the oldest and most accurate systems of astrology, is more reliable than what you will find elsewhere.
