Antelope Valley Radical Network

by avradnet Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at 7:33 AM

The Antelope Valley Radical Network is made up of groups and individuals actively engaged in creating a healthier and more sustainable Antelope Valley, based on the principles of autonomy, self organization, and mutual aid. The purpose of this network is for local projects to find common ground and to work together against the overall problems, which are threatening our community. From poverty to police brutality, urbanization to unemployment, the problems are rampant, yet we will work to defend our communities from this ongoing repression.

*The Antelope Valley is located at the Northern tip of Los Angeles County

**The Antelope Valley Radical Network is having their first meeting at Marie Kerr Park in Westside Palmdale at 2PM on Sunday, February the 6th

AVRN was formed as a result of various revolutionary and radically-based groups and/or individuals throughout the Antelope Valley, finding themselves disconnected or disinterested, based on no concrete structure or organization to dedicate their time to. History has shown us that when we are united, we can form the most penetrating and complete analysis of the community we live in, as well as the most promising and realistic vision for changing it.

We are against any Patriarchal, Racist, Authoritarian, or Imperialist institution. We are non hierarchical and have no formal leadership. We run on a consensus-based decision making process, which gives every member of the network an equal voice.

Our goal is to create a consciousness of the injustices and inequality within our communities, as well as around the world, through educational means. We actively struggle against exploitation and coercion, in its various forms. We strive for an independent, self managed community here in the Antelope Valley.

Purpose of Network

by avradnet Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at 9:02 PM
mail@avradicalnetwork.tk

To clarify for people, this network is to connect people thoughout the AV who want to get involved in projects, start projects, etc. to work through a network of groups organized on consensus. So, anarchists, communists, liberals, greens and all the rest can hook up with food not bombs, and other projects...basically to avoid sectarianism...

Also, we're trying to hook up with groups who work on specific issues, to come and work on other things to see the overall problems.

Hey AVRN and/or Autonomous Valley Collective!

Wow. You all are great at keeping yourselves well hidden.

How can I get in contact with you? I'd like to work on some rad projects in the AV and it would be great to do them with others.

Katie
