The controlled left

by aragorn Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 at 1:13 PM

We'll always be able to protest as long as our protests accomplish nothing. Like voting it's far better for the establishment to give people the illusion of freedom or choice. In reality these big ANSWER rallys accomplish nothing but preaching to the choir. With all the major roads shut down by police before hand, and Police Sergants actually helping to lead the rally with ANSWER organizers, no mater how big the turn out, the rallys are always marginalised. We need new tactics if we're really going to try to stop Bush and company. These big block parties will never effect any change. If you need proof just ask yourself what the past 4 years of ANSWER street parties has acomplished. Did they stop the war? Did they stop military intervention in Haiti? We need actions that focus on army recruiters. We need to stop boats and trains carrying amunition headed for Iraq. We need to do something effective in the next 4 years and I feel that we'll have to do it ourselves because Answer will never call for or support any such actions.

haters = surveillence spooks

by John Brown Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 at 1:45 PM

Your whining sounds like the pathetic cries of a 20-year old who is too immature to realize that he can't have his baby bottle "right now" and thinks change occurs overnight. Grow up and realize that things don't happen that rapidly in this country. Just because you take a woman out to dinner, don't expect her to put out.

The media exposure of the march last night (FOX 11 had the best coverage amazingly, KLTLA and channel 9 sucked) will bring in more people who are starting to feel the sentiments of the so-called "choir."

Either grow up or stop doing surveillance on the imc...

ANSWER is a front orgaqnization for the LAPD

by ANSWER/LA-NLG are not the ANSWER Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 at 2:24 PM

You call us whiners and haters because people hope to break free from the self-imposed exile? What did ANSWERS festival and parade do to bring the message to the people last night -NOTHING. The cafe and restaurants were mostly empty and the streets were closed to thru traffic. The people were sheepishly led through the tour of Westwood Village by ANSWER and the pigs and anyone who tried to diviate even slightly was called a "cop" or "provacatuer" by the Legal Observers from LA-NLG. Why did ANSWER pull nudreds of people off the streets corners prior to the tour of Westwood? So they (ANSWER) can yet again preach to the converted.

FUCK LA-NLG and FUCK ANSWER.

It's amazing how that map can be so red...

by Jack Mehoffer Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005 at 1:03 PM

and yet the election still be so close. Another testament to our freedom and how great our electoral system is. It doesn't take much effort to shift our political climate from left to right, or vice versa.

A.N.S.W.E.R. has NOTHING to do with the LAPD.

They are a front for the communist party.
