Voter Apathy...or Voter Disgust?

by doctor_jones Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004 at 4:00 AM
chiptruth@excite.com

are you a) apathetic or b) disgusted about your voting choices this time ;round? you know...people who want to be president are applying for a job. that's all.

-------- theory: generation x was never really apathetic

-------- i think the genxers are a LOT different.

that apathetic tag was a set up designed by conspiracy to keep a great human quality -- analytical, critical faculty of UNDERSTANDING -- from being really effective.

basically the 'apathetic' tag that media and advertising laid on generation x was to sytupefy and intelligent generation. you see what major stupidity in the corporate sector and politics it led to.

and even now the greedy worshippers of capital are determined to keep it so that generation x considers themselves marginalized, fatalistic and ready to die rather than take part in the world -- or else sell out and become like what they despised back in 92.

and if you listen you can hear those greedy capitalists who were so disgusting -- disgust isn't apathy -- so disgusting that the backlash manifested as the old saying -- yeah, old. like ten years old -- of CORPORATE ROCK SUCKS.

Kurt Cobain is probably not even nourishing worms and corporate rock still sucks HARD.

they shafted generation x with the suggestion that we were apathetic. it was a con that sort of worked -- but the catch is - in 2037 generation x will still be generation x, still intelligent, still disgusted by the mess that the previous generations made of the earth and did their best to force us to be proud of. still disgusted by the worship fogreed that the previous generations handed to us as some kind of a better world, still feeling resentful because of the masive con job that Corporate media -- and by corporate i mean MYV, SPIN, Rolling Stone -- i tell you, if you listen, generation X you can hear them chantingtheir fervent prayers to the god of greed --

we were never apathetic. we were disgusted and had every right to be -- and they saw that and it made them scared. so they lied and todl us over and over again -- oh, those grunge kids, they're so alienated and apathetic...they don't care. after a while they told the same lie over and over and over again. you know what a lot of those youth suicides of the 1990s were?

they were people who really cared giving up because the worship of greed -- that holdover from the Gordon Gekko years combined with the lies of capitalist culture were used to disenfranchise --

well, it hasn't happened yet. we're still alive, still NOT RECKLESS in many ways despite the lies of the previous generations who want everyone to be mentally and emotionally numb. you know that "i hate emo" trend?

you know what that was, right?

that was the campaign of lies starting to work on the minds of youth, that was people becoming apathetic because of the commands from the previous generation. and they will keep lying. and they will keep on chanting their fevcered prayers to the god of greed and guilt and you know something? they ARE disgusting.

we weren't apathetic and the majority of us still aren't. still we might be held in check, muted by the lies they told us -- and some people reading this might have sucked so hard on the media culture charcoal teat that feeds us brain rot that we don't want to wake up -- want to go on playinmhg the part that the okder, greeder generation -- the ones who decided that greed was Good and became Reagan Youth -- yeah...NOW i'm getrting your atention!

i remember when thirtysomething (do something cause they are still worshipping greed guilt and lies and they want YOU) i rememebvr when thirty something was a bunch of young upward mobviles who were basically Reaganistic and having dysfunctional relationships. well that is all that the Corporate world wanted for YOU, generation x.

actual brains within youth necessitated the media and advertising sabotage of youth culture. still smart and now even more disgusted.

smart. behind the disillusionment with the emptines of materialism was the maturity of -- let's face it, the words ally sheedy spoke in the breakfast club.

but people like George Bush and oh, so sincere John kerry WANT your harts to die as you grow up, so you will support the stupidity, the gross stupdidty of war and deicde that it makes more sense to have money than to think for yourself. But we're not dead. we don't need defibrillation. maybe just a hot cup of coffee.

they staled us.

they staled us, theypackaged and reslod us to ourselves over and over, with copies of copies of copies till after a few years alternative was a word for the bin, and all the "cool" bands sound the same.

over and over, and everything that had been once the cool secret of 120 minutes -- remember 120 minutes?

--staying up late and getting to school on monday morning all worn out.

but you had listened to cool music that the people who listend to pop boring radio couldn't understand?

you were cool and original so they called you lame and creepy. THEY wre lame and creepy and now they are supporting war and youmaybe go out in the street and protest -- but it dodn't work yet. you're STILL generation x, you're stillnot stupid and not really apathetic. they WANTED you to stop being so comapssionate. maybe it was the red hot chili peppers when they were younger. maybe it was something else but they wanted you to suicide, because you had FEELINGS -- until it almost seems as if kurt cobain was murdered -- but no,not by his wife as coprotate media has made money sugesting rpeatedly to the young and impressionable, but by corporate culture that bullied a nice guy into selling records at a store he didn't love -- and by fiofteen year olds snerering i hate emo because it was toohard to force their fingers to form F Major for the first three weeks.

(it gets easier.)

they shafted generation x -- their goal was to encourage empty geedy materialism by making feelings uncool and knowing what was going on a sin. that's what "politically correct" means -- when the FUCK did it become uncool to be poltically correct?(in other words: to have a correct understanding of what politicians were doing?

i ask again cause we got shafted into unconsciousness -- WHEN THE FUCK did it become uncool to have a correct understanding of politics?

anyone can see that the decoolification of correct understanding of politics and politicians has served a guy who can't really talk that good englishwise. what i mean is, that is what i am trying to say is, well the president, he's a politician and he, uh, that is he um, can't speak that correctly.

says stuff like subliminabubble and nuke-you-lar. maybe he needs some uh...what's the word i'm thinking of? (uh, coaching, mister president?) thank you.

sorry. had to get that across.

so who did it serve when it became uncool to have a correct understanding of Politics?

It backfired on Bill Maher.

Big time. It didn't seem to do too well for Craig Kilborne - who maybe understands the facts even better now then ahe did when he hosted the daily show? i hear he's writing a book now. bet it will be objectively readable.

thank god for jon stewart -- who can get by with a joke and an eyebrow and understands so much that he is embarassing right wing radical fundies from our most disgusting source of news.

I think maybe it was the generation who rallied around the bad guy from the movie Wall Street starting Michael Douglas -- Gordon Gekko who said "Greed is good."

he was suppsoed to be an example of how NOT to behave -- and Michael Douglas knows that much. he was the portrayer of a part meant to tell the story of a bad guy but a lot of people didn't get the message.

you suckers who like either of these guys. you lost the debate. you lost hard. kerry basically promised the country war with korea and you ate it up. like that would be a GOOD thing.

and to add insult to injury: you guy's know that being a little bit smarter than bush doesn't make the guy fucking albert einstein right? damn.

it doesn't even make him nikolai tesla.

kerry's...not that smart. being overtley better at public speaking than george w. bush does NOT qalify the guy for president of MENSA, much less the freaking united states. they're co conspirators -- it's a busted flush, an dinsult to american intelligence. rhymes with vader.

there's no candidate.

it's a conspiracy.

this isn't theory.

it is: fact. there's no election.

a) i still miss bill clinton. i miss hillary clinton. i miss george clinton. think i am writing him in.

him or kate bush. i wish people would think.

i am betting you have feelings and they are HURT by what politics is expecting you to swallow. betting you are disgusted. that's a feeling -- you aren't apathetic. they lied to dummy you.

anyone here by chance remember the 2000 election? at all? anyone? anyone? Broderick?

yeah, you guys9the voting public) lost the debate. after four years of Bush, people see a person who can generally get a point across without stuttering and think -- "God, he's sooo smart!

i wanna fuck him." but they approach closer fucking themseves by voting for him. not too many people are gonna like the way it feels, one way or another.

is it too late for you to get real?

if so god bless america cause what this doing now is showing the generation that's to young to vote that the gen xers went from apathetic to complacent and stupid. and we didn't. still not stupid. hassled and angry, bitter but dumb? not then and not now.

someone wanted us to think we were dumb, generation x.

you know what the Brotherhood really is?

cause you don't, if you trust either of these dinks and are ready or eager to go vote for them, than you DON'T know what the brotherhood is.

you are throwing yourselves away with your vote this election. away. Yeah.

a lot -- and i mean a lot of decent media people -- on the independent side -- here and other independent sources of information besides this dotorg -- are continuing to do our BEST to tell the world that there is a huge scam going on -- and gettoing alughed off and shut down by scowling curmudgeons and skilled purveyors of the lie who think that if they say "shut up and go away =, its a conspiracy theory and nothing more" over and over again they can keep the lie hidden. they want people to be stupid. they want people like us, generation x, to HATE OUR OWN BRAINS, our innate understanding. they want us stupid and liking it. game over.

did you see them congratulating each other?

did you hear the audience laugh slightly -- like some were afraid to and others were basking in their power when Bush said he wouldn't hold his "opponent" being a Yale man against him?

did you hear the slight laughter in the audiende? Low, sort of snickery, male?

i can believe that people are really celebrating Kerry's win in the debate on points.

barely. but the thing is i know that the smart people on theboard must think i am dumb for even talking to you. they know whathappened last night and aren watching this thread and not posting.

Average citizen had this reply -- so you're saying it's a waste of time to even vote? if you don't vote you don't have a right to an opinion and should shut up and let real citizens do the work of democracy.

============

yeah. a waste of time to vote. this election is already rigged.

i am saying that it's time to educate yourself on the issues and get active in watys that are relevant -- or just sit back and watch others do it.

or vote. but it's a rigged game and people deserve to know how it's rigged when they scream freedom and democracy and have nothing else planned. i point to not only the 2000 election that florida was crucial in but deeper things that cynics and coconspirators call only theory.

there should be subpoenas flying at both those candidates.

it's a scam. you can see it as clearly a s a football play coming down. bush is handing the football off to kerry and he's supposed to score.

it's a waste of time to vote this time cause they've got it rigged

the same policy -- but without stuttering.

generation x: you're not stupid or apathetic. you KNOW you're not stupid and you were never apathetic. they laid that tag on you so you would go along with teh scam. they wanted you stupid and complacent and they still didn't their wish. so they resorted to lies. hey, generation x: do you still not know what i am talking about when i say "the Brotherhood"?

ifrastructure. long toime ago some had the brians to point out that whoe ever won the election it was business as usual. we said "don't vote! it only encourages them." still valid.

infrastructure. it's a electoral process that is too easily rendered cheatable. remember florida 2000? maybe you have put it "out of your minds" for some reason.

think about it now. Think about jeb Bush. think about katherine harris. think about september eleventh 2001, about a year after the 'weird' election of 2000.

Oh, well. Who is Al Gore?

this sham election between frat brothers "what a coinky-dink!" is just that. a sham. and until there's real campaign finance reform the other elections will be too. elections are bought and sold now. that's not democracy.

Campaign Finance Reform can be made possible by amreicans that bel;ieve in real honest to god fucking demmocracy. Not this Constitutional zrepublic that we have now. You're generation x. you aren't apathetic. do what you want to do -- but voter disgust is NOT voter apathy. it is something different. apathy and disgust are a lot different.

i say it is high time to get involved with government -- with Democracy -- on the individual level - that is what by the people of the people and for the people really means. and those who want things to remain set the way they are will CONSISTENTLY AND OBSERVABLY LIE to keep it that way, they will lie to protect the worshippers of greed and deception that catapulted two frat brothers into a really clean race.

notice how clean this particular presidential election has been1

hey, kudos to Bush and kerry for running a clean election. Not a lot of going beneath the belt, airing out dirty laundry...it's almost asif they were relaly nice guys who really wantedyour vote...or they both had the same dirty secrets toprtect and neither wanted to "go there." You think i care? i am a Clinton supporter. whoops. cat's out of the bag. and i don't like all of HER policies and practices either but she's my candidate. she could shovel snow for me if she wanetd. she's a better man than either of the two jerks running i trust Clinton. But those guys?

maybe i am wrong to trust her. but i don't have a candidate this election. ya wanna know why? i bet you do.

http://infowars.com/bg1.html

it is a great responsibility. many people will say "no! campaign finance reforem...that's a dream. never happen...that;s just the way things work."

and go vote.

i am definitely NOT suggesting that you get in the street and get busted and beaten up by beat cops like the kids who weakly protested the RNC.

i man real stuff that matters and fixes the country. in other words, effective rather than impotent crybaby direct actions that only earn street cred. REAL direct action thant make spositive change occur.

-- so this sort of travesty of politics and insult to American voter intelligence is so obvious that it goes away PERMANENTLY and dares not show its lying face again.

if you knew anyting about the frat that Bush and Kerry were both in this would makea lot more sense to you.

Carter, 1976.

the Democrat won and did legendary work for world peace - historic example of some one who went into the mideast to create peace and did it. egypt and israel are still at a state of truce onm the political level -- despite all the bad sabatoge the Bush league -- starting with Reagan'Bush -- did to sabotage that pece.

did you catch that? the Bush family went into the middle east and purposefully created disharmony so that they copuld capitalize and pirate the oil. That is WHAT THEY DID, using famous talking head republicrat Reagan as a front so that they -- along with their man Cheney -- could go in and Grab Others' Petroleum like Goofy Oil Police. You think that George Herbert Walker bush isn't still involved in politics? Old fucker can sure jump the hell out of an airplane.

see all ths shit i seem to know about the issues? i am NOT AN EXPERT.

Chomsky and Brzizinsky and Carvill are experts.

i am just a journalist.

but you can become closer to expert with a few days -- a few days of study.

and then understand what i am saying.

this election a trap for the uninformed (not to mention the uniformed) and frightened.

korea is no more a of threat to the united states than they were in the fifties. kerry knows that but he wants to get support from people who are enamored of BLOOD AND DEATH just like Bush...and just like a famous race hater from world war two who was initially trusted andthgen unilaterally despised.

he's a smooth talker who says what people want to hear. trusting him, well...

not sure where this is going? who are the master debators? what is their goal and their role? master debators?

i think i just felt like saying that.

directly.

so you want to know about the Conspiracy. You have realised that there IS a conspiracy. it's baffling and scary and you want a little insight.

i'm glad to help.

first they lie. they say that what they are is what they aren't -- they rely on lies in a very classical sense of the words. a lot of times they rely on those they have decieved to carry on the deception they have endured. they ARE HYPOCRITES and they rely on hypocrisy to keep them invisible -- they want you to -- and yeah -- this is a pun -"not see" -- not see what they are up to -- they want you to think IT'S YOU.

No, it;s them. they thrive on people feeling off balance and basically not sane. if they can get you to not trust your intuition they win -- a typical attack they will use is to accuse anyone who looks at them directly of being "irrationa;" -- which is their deceptive way of saying 'having emotions...having feelings, having human emotions -- HUMANE emotions such as compassion, love, caring -- these are things they really despise and they arouse their judgmental disgust.

understand that they don't wish to be understood my anyone who won't bend to their cause. also understand that they ARE on the way out.

they tell the part of the truth that serves them.

a dirty trick they will do is to say "don't judge me! don't judge us! how dare you judge us!' this is to instill sense of guilt in anyone who might possibly see them for what they are." they will definitely insist that you never judge them and then of course -- all their actions will be based on their pride in their faculties of judgment. realise that this conspiracy is what it is -- when the Christ was saying 'judge not' he wasn't saying 'turn off your brain and do as you are told' -- he was exhorting understanding. not extolling suicide or self destruction.

there of course are tools against this conspiracy and if you are actually asking then you may in fact be disgusted. a good tool is love, love of the things you love.

when you feel like your heart is breaking, it probably isn't. it's probably starting to fucntion again -- because these Conspirators rely on low brain function or even negative brain function -- or people thinking themseves into situations where they are seen as the only masters.

think about the beauty of nature, think about the things you love about the people you love. their time is approaching a conclusion and although these conspirators would have the world think that the only alternative to their poor leadership is planetary suicide.

that's a lie. remember -- these are people who use lies to intimidate and decieve.

important issues are still out there

by cal web forum Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004 at 11:09 PM

Beyond the fake horse(shit)race of Bush and Kerry, there's a raft of important propositions on the california ballot.

Tops is 60 and 62. These laws would alter the election process. 62 is supported by rich wannabe polticos like Ron Unz, who want to buy themselves into the primaries. Outsiders with campaign cash. 60 is a defensive move, and is supported by the 3rd parties. Yes on 60, no on 62.

No on 68. Fuck casinos. If you're going to gamble, do it at home. Get high, drink, smoke, and gamble at home.

72 is a health care law that would force big companies to pay more of the health insurance costs for workers. It levels the playing field for companies of over 50 workers (but starts out affecting only those with over 200). This is a groundbreaking law that will be a big win for the universal health care movement.

66 reforms "3 strikes" mandatory sentencing. It retains the law for violent crime, and allows courts to set sentences for other crimes. Laws that throw people in prison without good reason are corrosive to society.

the fact remains

by doctor_jones Monday, Nov. 01, 2004 at 10:49 AM

i know people are all hopped up to vote. but if the main guys at the top of the elctoral chain are doing such a greiveous scam and an insult to american intellect as what is taking place -- why do local votes matter a shred?

the main guys are gonna be shafting the taxpayers from the bottomup.

but whatever.
