Bush Blows the debate-talks to Rove in earpiece

Bush Blows Debate: Talks to Rove in Earpiece!

During the Presidential Debate Bush made what may be his most costly error- he exposed that he’s using an earpiece to help him answer debate questions. In the middle of an answer bush said, "now let me finish" as if someone was interrupting him - yet nobody did - he was talking to the person in his earpiece.

Listen to the mp3 yourself- or watch the video at c-span

ffwd to 40 min 30 sec

There is an mp3 with the audio at NYC indymedia

I’ve been thinking for years that we need something major to blow this scam wide open, like Bush exposing himself on national tv. Last night he did just that.

The ’let me finish’ quip was clearly bush talking to someone (probably Rove) in his earpiece- saying ’let me finish’ (before you give me the next answer). He blows it 60 seconds into his 90 second reply- so no warning lights had gone off and the moderator had not motioned for him to end as there was plenty of time left.

There is really no other plausible explanation for this huge blunder- who was he telling to ’let him finish’? The voices in his head? Is he talking to God again? Shouldn’t this be enough to warrant a major investigation of some sort- bush is so incompetent he needs an earpiece to speak in public! The entire Bush regime is a house of cards- let this be the first card pulled from the bottom tier - send this fool and his evil cabal to the ICC for War Crimes.

This info has been sent to the Kerry campaign, will they do anything with it? If it were Kerry’s blunder, you know Bush’s team would be all over him. If Kerry won’t do the same, one must ask- why not?

In shots from behind you can clearly see a lump or some thing in the middle of Bush's back, and you can clearly see some sort of line or cord running up his right shoulder. Heck, look for yourself. It's not an optical illusion.

Face it. Anyone with common sense realized Bush is on his way out. There's no way he'll look any better next round.

The way I see it? Bush should have been behind in the polls from day one. Lying to the country for his corporate war in Iraq would have been the main reason. The media helped him recover from his lies.

Finally, no more PNAC neo-cons!

Can we put these assholes in prison now?

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

Well, we all will be watching and listening closer during the next debates. I don't know if it's true but, it has definitely got my interest. However, remember the story about the preacher who used the same technique to fool poor and sick people untill someone busted that sham with a radio receiver.

Bush is a queue-card president. I hope this story gets real attention so the next debate will cause him to stop using it, if it's true.

It's funny you mention earpiece, because, shortly after the elequent "911" funeral speech Bush gave, I commented to my husband that I thought he had to have had some kind of hidden earpiece, imagine my surprise when, a day after the funeral speech a commerical came on the air for some type of hidden earpiece(I don't recall the company name)that featured a man giving a speech before a large crowd when, in response to the person hidden backstage sneezing, he responds "Gesheuntit".Funny ,this commerical only appeared a couple of days, before disappearing off the air!

This is true. It also explains why Bush pauses in odd places...he's listening before repeating. On the night of 9/11 our local network even patched this voice over the air by mistake before realizing it. We watched in amazement as Bush repeated, word for word, whatever this voice said. He could only remember three or four words at a time, so the natural flow of someone speaking on their own was completely interrupted.

This mistake, of broadcasting the voice in Bush's ear was made again, more recently, and I believe Danny Schechter has written about it.

When the candidates walked to their podiums, you could see something like a cord running up beneath the president's jacket. My thought upon seeing it was that he'd be getting his answers from his puppet masters. This article kind of confirms what I thought might be the "voice in his ear"

Someone should alert the Dems or the folks who run the debates. A scanning receiver in the building should pick up the signal. I assume the signal is coming in from outside, otherwise, the audience would notice someone talking into a microphone.

Alternatively, if, as someone above suggested, if we make a big enough stink about this issue, the Bush folks might stop using the earpiece as they will be reluctant to risk getting caught at the next debate.

When I first read this article, I was like if only that were true! I decided to see for myself and went to CSPAN to look at the debate transcript. Sure enough, there it was in the middle of his argument with no interruption, "let me finish". I further investigated by watching the debate video again and the light was in fact still green. Oh man, the democrats should run with this one! One more comment. The day after the debates on the campaign trail in New Hamshire, I noticed Bush bashing Kerry again. If you notice carefully, Bush was constantly looking down at the podium; clearly reading scripted remarks. While Kerry on the other hand in Florida, took the microphone, walked away from the podium and addressed the crowd off the cuff.

What it says to me is that this president is unable to do anything without the use of his cronies or audio/visual tools.

Absolutely pathetic!

get this on crossfire, hardball or comdey central thedaily show w/john stewart or is everybody afraid of losing their paycheck due to media manipulation

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

by Turk

It certainly sounds like someone being interrupted, but don't you think Kerry would have complained if there was a visible earpiece in cowpie's ear?

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

by Artie

I think you are giving the fool too much credit -- maybe it was just the voices in his head talking to him. Did you see the way he drank water like he used to down booze? And what about the leash comment -- was this a freudian slip that proves he was responsible for Lyndie England's and the other prison guard's actions? Maybe you are right about he earpiece -- but maybe he really is just a smirking chimp with serious mental/character defects that are the result of many years of substance abuse and a dysfunctional family.

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

Fools! God was speaking to him and God should know that it's rude to interrupt gwb when he's speaking because speaking "Is hard work."

Maybe it was God.

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

by Vonnie Holmes

I sure hope someone is going to really watch for this trick in the next debates between Kerry and Bush.

An earpiece is the only rational explanation for Bush being able to repeat the names of world leaders when in the past he was unable to do so.

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

by T_Scheisskopf

Think "passive transducer" earpiece. Not new technology at all. The bulges under his jacket are likely receiver/repeaters that pick up the transmitted(and encrypted?) signals from the handlers and transmit them, at very low power, to the earpiece.

This is not new or revolutionary technology. E-Systems probably has them on fire sale.

Re: Bush Blows it! Exposes Earpiece in Debate

by ariseliberals!

Even with "his master's voice" in his ear, he failed. Imagine the hilarity when he can't use the earpiece?

This should really be the coup de grace for this joker...we need to expose this dirty trick. Nixon is beginning to look like the Mother Teresa of politics next to Rover the chat dog.

Can someone hack into the transmition and 'moderate' the script for Mr. Bush? Think about it. I'd sure love to voice a few items...
