I guess you don't mind echoing the Republican strategy in dealing with the Great Depression of the 1930's - private charity. The kind that eases the consciences of the rich and well to do - those who have and consciences. The problem is that private charity is never, ever going to eradicate poverty, homelessness and unemployment. All three are built into the capitalist system. And private charity assumes that they will always exist because the rich can't imagine a society that does not have them at the top, profiting off of others' misery.

Have a good time at the next debutante ball. Remember, some of the money raised is going to the poor - and "the poor will always be with us." As long as we have capitalism.

It was interesting to see that photo of Bush Admirer and Fresca under the heading Code Brown. However, I must admit that those two look intelligent and dignified compared with the yo yo who appears in the posting entitled Left Not In Power. What was that guy's name again? Bonzo?
