Typical Leftists Behavior--Movie Goer Assaulted at Fahrenheit 9/11 Showing

by Christoff Saldeña Monday, Jun. 28, 2004 at 7:42 PM

MoveOn.org SS assaults moviegoer for expressing his opinion, which wasn't even Pro-Bush but neutral. And they have the nerve to call the right "fascists."

(Jun. 25) -- The highly anticipated film, Fahrenheit 9/11, came with more than just controversy at one Las Vegas movie theatre. Moviegoer, Richard Streeter, was one of the many who made his way to a theatre to see what the hype was about. After viewing the film, he was greeted outside the theatre by members of the Las Vegas MoveOn.org.

The group was handing out leaflets on the importance of the film. Streeter voiced his view on the movie, "I made the comment, apples and oranges -- Kerry, Bush -- one's no better than the other. You really ain't got much of a choice. This guy comes up to me and says, 'Oh yeah?' " Streeter was then spat on by the same man.

He attempted to call police to report the incident when he was told not to, "A guy standing next to him said why don't you drop it. I said, 'No, I'm calling the police. I'm exercising my right as a citizen, I've been assaulted.' "

But the horror kept on growing for Streeter as he walked to his car on the phone with police, "This guy turns, and totally by surprise takes his hand and bam! It was a big guy. Shoved me onto the ground, I hit my head." A police report has been filed.

The film is a portrayal of President Bush and his administration. Filmmaker Michael Moore admits Fahrenheit 9/11 is his personal attack on the President and intends to change voters' minds. The President's supporters say the movie is being used for propaganda.

Michael Moore is such a total A__hole.

by BA Monday, Jun. 28, 2004 at 8:24 PM

Michael Moore is such a major jerk.

I'd love to see him arrested and incarcerated in Guantanamo with his fellow travelers. Put him there and throw away the key. Don't worry about releasing him until he's been there for 30 or 40 years. That's where he belongs.

I enjoyed the links, case #, specific theater involved , the actual day and of course the police department involved. It added so much to this thankfully informative and verifiable incident.

Those bastards! We should round all the leftists up and kill them.

Better yet machine gun the people coming out of the theater since they will now have to be disposed of.

Did I say that out loud?

Speaking of reality vs. fiction.

Aren't you the same bunch that claims "Bush knew" about 9-11 and that the kamikaze jetliners were, in fact, missle-firing, remote-controlled drones?

HA HA HA HA HA!

by neo-cons suck more when the truth hurts... Tuesday, Jun. 29, 2004 at 1:49 PM

It does sound like a bogus story or more hyperbolic thinking from conservatives and so-called "neutral" do-nothings who are waiting for their next starfucks latte while GI's die in Iraq for oil.

Aren't ya'll the ones that bent over and took it when the selected prez lied about WMD's and al-qaeda connections.

Funny how the retard above talks about gunning down movie goers. Gee, I guess the right wing was in bed with Saddam after all, sounds like one of his former tactics. Well, we just installed a former Baathist in power (a.k.a. another CIA beeyatch of course), so I guess the anti-moore, anti-free speech morons are getting what they wanted all along, mo' Saddam, mo' Saudi money, mo' sucking up to bush's oil interests.

I know some of you must choke on small bones.

More modification of historical fact and outright deception by the right wing nuts....

Can they be anymore predictable?

And here's a brain buster : If these neo-colonic anti-constitutionalists were even a bit less predictable than they may have had a better chance strealing the Iraqui oil supply, but even shellshocked and malnourished Iraquis can figure out the pattern that forms from their mundane corruptions...the scary part of course is that these bufoons think {via fairytales from the bible} that they are meant to rule the world.

How predictable.

Clintons got the best selling book and Moore has the most popular film out as we move on to the Fourth of July ...

what prediction can you make from these facts?

Michael Moore Linked to Carlyle Group

by Carl Limbacher Tuesday, Jun. 29, 2004 at 2:34 PM

In his film "Fahrenheit 9/11," Democratic Party propaganda-meister Michael Moore accuses President Bush of being too cozy with Osama bin Laden's relatives, claiming Bush once accepted money from an international investment consortium known as the Carlyle Group, on whose board bin Laden family members used to sit.

But it turns out that Moore, not Bush, may have the more active financial relationship with Carlyle.

Reports Sunday's New York Post: "The Carlyle Group - which [Moore] bashes in the movie as some sort of shadowy war profiteering company - has become part owner of Loews Cinemas, which is currently showing his film."

How much of Caryle's bin Laden-tainted cash has found its way into Moore's pockets - the portly propagandist isn't saying.

But Sunday's Newsday debunks his claim that President Bush has any financial links to Osama's kin.

Citing Craig Unger's book "House of Bush, House of Saud," Moore invokes the name of James R. Bath, who served with Bush in the Texas Air National Guard and who managed the Texas investments for the Bin Ladin Group during the 1970s. Supposedly, one of their investments was in George W.'s Arbusto Energy.

Reports the paper:

"Moore implies the bin Ladens wanted to curry favor with Bush while his father was CIA director. But Unger's reporting - omitted by Moore - says that Bath denies putting bin Laden money in Arbusto."

The president's father was once a Carlyle adviser, but cut ties with the group after 9/11, as did the bin Laden relatives.

And what's wrong with this?

There's been a lot of propaganda coming from Fox News for well over two years.

This movie's great box office numbers only prove that people are willing to pay for a tele-visual explanation of the situation that isn't being spun by the right wingers who dominate television news.

The movie itself isn't that "liberal" or "left". It's pretty moderate, and comes from the midwestern conservative Democrat position that Moore is familiar with. That's what people in the Right are afraid of -- that the Democrats might see a resurgence of a different kind of "Kucinich Democrat". What I mean is the kind of democrat who voted for the Kuch in the midwest - working class, somewhat christian, "god and country", and screwed by nafta.

Listen to this thing called IERadio out of Chicagoland. They hate Califorinans. They seem to have issues with new yawkers as well. They're Democrats. They like unions and hate bosses. They don't seem to like gays, weirdos, or some minorities; but they are the kind of Democrats that Moore grew up with, and they can vote for Kerry.

>>> I hope leftists keep their perspective when the anti-michael moore pro-right film fest premieres later this year.

There's been a lot of propaganda coming from Fox News for well over two years.

>>> When FOX has been on the air 50 years like the liberal lyin' Big 3 were, then we'll worry about balance.

This movie's great box office numbers only prove that people are willing to pay for a tele-visual explanation of the situation that isn't being spun by the right wingers who dominate television news.

>>> Dominate? ha ha ha. not quite. one network versus the liberal cabal, which also "owns" the universities and public schools.

>>> talk radio was one the lefties never saw coming. ha ha ha. and when fat ted kennedy and mccain-fuckgold pulls another fascist anti-1st amendment "campaign finance" law out of their asses, we'll be broadcasting offshore.

The movie itself isn't that "liberal" or "left". It's pretty moderate, and comes from the midwestern conservative Democrat position that Moore is familiar with.

>>> "Left" is not the accusation. "Lies" is.

>>>> In other news, Kucinich was/is a fucking loon. His prez campaign signs were seen in trust-fund Marin County (hippie land) but not in Cleveland, where he was a disaster as mayor.

From Melvin Holli's "The American Mayor."

Kucinich Selected as One of Ten Worst Mayors in History

Only thirty-one years old when elected, Cleveland's "boy mayor" had failings that were not the sins of venality or graft for personal gain, but rather matters of style, temperament, and bad judgment in office. Kucinich earned seventh place the hard way: by his abrasive, intemperate, and chaotic administration. He barely survived a recall vote just ten months in office, then disappeared for five weeks, reportedly recuperating from an ulcer. When he got back into the political fray, his demagogic rhetoric and slash-and-burn political style got him into serious trouble when he stubbornly refused to compromise and led Cleveland into financial default in late 1978 - the first major city to default since the Great Depression. That led also to Kucinich's defeat and exit from executive office. Out of office, he dabbled in a Hollywoodesque spirit world and once believed that he had met Shirley MacLaine in a previous life, seemingly confirming his critics' charges that he was a "nutcake." After that, he experienced downward mobility, losing races for several other offices and finally ending up with a council seat; but more recently, he climbed back up to a seat in Congress. Bad judgment, demagoguery, and default also spelled political failure in the eyes of twenty-five of our experts, who ranked Dennis, whom the press called "Dennis the Menace", as seventh-worst.

That's a link to the book, on "conservatives.com". Holli is not impartial.

As for the networks... you might think they are "liberal" but they fell for the "embedded reporter" scam that the military pulled on the press.

That, in my opinion, is as bad as being conservative. It's being a mouthpiece for the government. Shades of Pravda, da?

behavior of "leftists"?

by Meyer London Wednesday, Jun. 30, 2004 at 2:47 PM

Since when are enthusiastic supporters of Kerry (the guy who wants to escalate the Iraq War) leftists? What kind of a joke is that? Oh, I know - you are one of those people who thinks that DLC member Bill "Abolish Welfare as we Know it" Clinton was also a leftist. Tell that to the families of the poverty-stricken men he had executed in Arkansas. Or the families of the Iraqis and Sudanese people he murdered with Cruise Missles.
