spread it!
This text was copied and pasted........it was not written by me, but I thought it needed a new title, to attract attention.
Of course I agree with everything said, and would also like to point that there is no, and never was , ressentment against the american public........I'm a Spaniard, and I'll tell you the reasons. I give you permission to copy this text and to show other people or paste in other forums.
1. The Spanish people were AGAINST the war in Irak since the beggining of the invasion. 80% of Spaniards were against it and made a lot of demonstrations.
Also, after the Madrid bombings, 11 million of Spaniards went to a demonstration against terrorism.
2. Aznar lost the elections because he tried to manipulate the information of the Madrid Train Bombings: they knew since the beggining that Al-Qaeda made the attacks, but they tried to cheat the spanish people to win the elections (as Bush did with you).
So, as spanish people hate to be manipulated and hate lies, we vote him out.
3. The Spanish people made demostrations against the manipulationof the Government. The next day, they lost the elections, not because of the attack but because they tried to ruin our glorious democracy with lies and manipulation.
4. The Spainsh Police arrested all the terrorist of the Madrid Bombings injust one month. The terrorist of 11S are still out there.
5.Spanish people are extremely Heroic and have a lot of Courage: we have suffered the terrorism and bombings of ETA during 30 years and never gave up. We have fought against fascism in the Civil War. We helped the French Resistance against Hitler. And we helped YOU in you Indenpendence War against Britain. The Spanish people love fighting for their freedom, and that's what they did voting out the Governmente that took us to an illegal war without our support (we fought with our votes). Irak has no WMD and has no terrorist. It's just a war for oil.
6. The pulling out of the troops is something that Zapatero promised BEFORE the Madrid Terrorist Attacks. Because he was against the war since the very beggining, and the Spaniards wanted the troops out. This is REAL DEMOCRACY, listening to the people.
With this pulling out, Zapatero is just keeping his word.
WE, the Spaniards, have a strong sense of HONOR.
7. As Europeans, we are with what you call the "Old Europe". Indeed. We are old. We have thousands of years of History. And the states of Europe have been fighting each other since many, many centuries. And what we have learned so many time fighiting between us? Easy: War IS NOT the way to solve problems. The Romans tried to unite Europe by war, then Charles the Great, then the Spanish Empire, then Napoleon, and finally Hitler. They all tried to unite us by use of the force. THEY DID NOT HAVE SUCCES. now, as you know, Europe is united (and even more each day), just by the way of PEACE. That's what we have learned.
Same happens today with USA: if you attack one country and kill thousands of innocent children, men, and women (telling them that it's for their own freedom), they will hate you more each day, and they will want to give the punch back. Violence only generates more violence and hate.
I'm not telling you that you should stop fighting terrorism (Spain hasn't stopped). Terrorism is horrible and terrorist are a buch of fanatics without feelings. But killing innocent people in the name of fighting terrorism is A GREAT MISTAKE. It will one creat more terrorists and hate.
That's what Europe thinks. That's what Spaniards think. I hope you can understand it. Thanks

They've just gone and demonstrated to Bin laden that terrorism gets results - at least in a country of cowards like Spain.
The Spanish are selfish, they want to pull out their troops from Iraq and leave the people there to a choice between Saddam Mark II or a Taliban style medieval serfdom.
I despise the Spanish for their selfish stupidity.

Newsweek Mar 17 - 04
...The key suspect arrested so far in the case, a Moroccan cell-phone salesman named Jamal Zougam, had first come to the attention of Spanish authorities as early as two and a half years ago. At that time, police secretly recorded him talking to Imad Eddin Barakat Yarkas (also known as Abu Dahdah), the accused leader of an Al Qaeda cell in Spain who has since been indicted in that country for complicity in the September 11 attacks.
---and these terrorist suspects were able to rig explosives into the undercarriges?----
Smells like Operation Gladio

Dear Spainiards,
You gave in to the terrorists. You emboldened a cowardly enemy into thinking they'll get away with it again, instead of leveling their fucking asses.
"Violence only generates more violence and hate."
If the A-Rab enemy was rational or enlightened, a peaceful resolution could be found.
But since A-Rabs are little better than uncaged animals, they respect only cruelty and force. They'll either come around or we'll kill every last one of them.
End of line, senor.

One in five Americans suffers from mental illness and one in five is a left leaning liberal, not a moderate liberal, but a far left wing nut case.
