Israeli Deputy Prime Minister at UCLA Next Week

by Anti-Fa Thursday, Apr. 15, 2004 at 10:41 PM

Natan Sharansky, a member of the Israeli Cabinet serving as Minister of Housing and Construction and Deputy Prime Minister, will be speaking at UCLA next week.

A member of the Likud Party and one of Sharon's many hacks, Sharansky will be speaking at UCLA next week, ironically enough, about "human rights."

It is suggested that individuals come and express their feelings about the ongoing occupation of Palestine, and today's further sell-out of Palestinian aspirations by the Bush administration.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Natan Sharansky, currently a member of the Israeli Parliament, is a foremost Soviet dissident and human rights activist

Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2004

Time: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Schoenberg Auditorium

There's been alot said this week of the loss of hope of the "palestinians" over the eventual return to the pre 67 borders.

Now here's the question. Let's just suppose Israel did change it's borders back to pre Six Day war. There was, of course, NO "Palestine" in existence then. Gaza was Egypt, Golen Heights were Syria and The West Bank was, of course, Jordan.

How is it that these "palestinians" believe that this return will somehow result in land for them. Furthermore, Do Egypt, Syria and Jordan want the land back considering the nature of it's inhabitants?

Or is what the "palestinians" are really saying is that they want a "return" to a mythical time when they actually did exist and they are pretending that was sometime close to the start of the Six Day War.

mythical time

by Meyer London Tuesday, Apr. 20, 2004 at 8:12 PM

The time was hardly mythical; it lasted from approximately 100AD (and probably earlier) to 1948. And Palestine will exist again; in fact it already exists in the minds of its people.

Well, before approx 100 AD the land belonged to the Jews, so the Arabs there were just squatters.

Did you know that in France, schoolteachers can no longer teach about the Holocaust in the classroom for fear of offending Muslim students?

What a wonderful world, eh?

"palestinians" are the democraps of the middle east.

no other arab country wants them or will take them in. they know they're a drain on resources that give nothing back.

Once again, you have proven yourself to be an imbecile.
