A crowd standing around the foot of the statue watched as the fellow in the photo placed the protest sign on the statue. ... and the police across the street were watching as well. The protester placed a second sign on the statue, and many people took photos of the resulting alteration of the pro-war memorial statue. Sometime later, the fellow who had placed the signs on the statue left the demo, walking down the sidewalk by himself as he passed the police position. At that point the police took off after him... about a dozen in all, and took him under custody. Several police car arrived and the man was taken off to a local substation. A member of the National Lawyers Guild talked with the police to find out what the charges were. He was lead to believe that the man would be written a citation for "trespassing." The police did not remove the signs.
The statue by the way stands on the corner of Wilshire and Veteran. It is a memorial to the Spanish/American war... and in particular, extols the role of the U.S. in the colonial war to seize the Philippines, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The plaque at the base of the statue reads "Extending the hand of liberty to alien peoples." Some 300,000 Filipinos died resisting the American invasion. The statue was erected in 1955 at the height of the Cold War and at a time when the U.S. displayed NO sensitivity to the concerns of non-white people.

The statue should be demolished. It is a statue to imperialism & racism.
The arrest is political. The statue is in the public domain. The trespassing charge is BS.

San Francisco also has a pro-imperialist structure, a long pole with a small figure at the top, praising US imperialism in the Philippines in 1898, at Union Square, in the heart of San Francisco's main shopping district. When Union Square was given an upgrade a year or so ago, fascist, ant-tenant organized crime pro-gambling election-frauding "mayor" Willie Brown, an African American and good Democrat, made a point of stating that the pro-imperialist tribute would stay. It is not a matter of color, but of class and class outlook. Willie Brown is and always has been of, by and for the capitalist class, against the workingclass. The latest action by this 70-year-old millionaire African-American ex-mayor and good Democrat is to promote gambling in the California desert, this time on behalf of the "poor little Indians." Gambling is by definition transfer of workers' wealth to the rich. Labor as been protesting "Indian" (better adjective is capitalist) gambling in Palm Springs, as "tribal lands are exempt from all labor, environmental and civil rights laws. Dolores Huerta and others got arrested this past week, protesting the vicious anti-labor, racist and anti-women policies of "Indian gaming." Th clas struggle is always primary.

Ah, the good old days when the inferior mongrel races knew their place or were simply shot. in their own lands these primitives would step over diamonds and gold and wade through oil to hunt fish with spears. without the US there they'd still be backwaters of filth and disease.
Back then, niggers didn't riot after ball games and there were no gook triads of organized crime. All crime was low and there was no welfare. Now the US is a cesspool of mongrels all hating the white man even as they beg for scraps. you'll never see a skyscraper on the african skyline.
The final laugh will be on the white liberal, encouraged to breed with the mongrels in order to eliminate his own race, as orchestrated by the jews.
