William Cottrell
#0403300535
630 East Rialto Avenue
San Bernardino, CA 92415-0025
23 year old Caltech PhD student, Billy Cottrell's arrest last month was the latest in a string of reckless, desperate attempts by the FBI to apprehend those
responsible for an ELF action that occurred in late August involving southland SUV dealerships. Since his arrest he has been held in questionable
conditions and has repeatedly been denied bail, all the while maintaining his innocence. Billy's in urgent need of support letters and people whom he can communicate with. Please let him know that we support him, are watching his case and are mobilizing to get him out!
Other ways you can help:
Billy's trying desperately to recreate his library while incarcerated and would appreciate articles dealing with advanced physics. Please photo-copy or print up to 10 pages front and back and mail them directly to him. He'd also appreciate paperback books and magazines sent directly from the publisher to the above address.
Good links for articles include:

And as you can imagine, bringing Billy home will involve a long and protracted legal battle. To contribute to Billy's legal defense fund, please send donations to:
Free Billy Defense Fund
P.O. Box 3372
Anaheim, CA 92803-3372
(please make checks payable to William Cottrell)
All donations over $15.00 receive "Free Billy" t-shirts. Please indicate your shirt size and return address if you'd like one. They can also be ordered separately from the same address.
IMPORTANT!
Please sign up for periodic updates from Billy Cottrell's support & defense network. Occasionally, we'll send out information about how Billy's doing and ways you can help. We'll also let you know about upcoming court appearances, vigils and transfers. To subscribe, please send an e-mail with "Add" in the subject line to
freebillycottrell@yahoo.com.
He sincerely appreciates your efforts and support! He frequently talks about the letters he gets and how
much they mean to him. Let's get him home soon.

I'm kind of lost on this one, not being a math-head or a physics-head. Euler's is number theory. Physics is (if I recall correctly) is more about quantities and probabilities (calculus?)

(Also, in the report, it says a dog got Josh Connole's scent off a lighter they found at the scene. It says they followed it all the way back to his residence. That must be at least 8 miles! Also, the report indicates that the vandals were drinking and travelling by car.)
(Read that pdf report. It's full of errors as well as a tautology or two. I'm surprised that the FBI cannot find a technical editor who knows something about computers. Also, I'm surprised that the computers at Cal Tech are directly connected to the internet, rather than through a firewall, and also that the browsers cache hotmail pages. I thought hotmail would expire pages explicitly. Also, if these pages were cached, wouldn't the Tech hackers constantly raid these files and use them to play jokes on each other?)
(LOL - the vandal complained that the papers omitted the use of the Nash embedding theorem.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nash_embedding_theorem That seems more physics'y. But like I said, I'm not a math head. Also, in another email, it sounds like he spoofed his location from a Berkeley computer.)
(Other than that, the evidence, if true, is incriminating. The question is, do you believe everything you read? Do you think this physics genius is the same as the person in this report?)
