Around 100-150 people turned out on a drizzly Saturday to picket the local Albertson's.

The crowds were unexpectedly large, because the organizers said they hadn't had that much time to rev-up for this rally, but a lot of people from the area, and other parts of LA, showed up to support the picketers in the eastside suburb. Spirits were high, as workers from the area stores converged on this supermarket, that has been in the neighborhood since the 1960s.
Only two shoppers crossed the picket during the rally.
