The difference between my view of morality and that of the corporate media.
The corporate media are professing to be shocked and appalled at the immorality of Janet Jackson showing her bare breast during halftime at the Super Bowl. They didn't seem to shocked or outraged by the little Iraqi children blown apart by cluster bombs or suffering cancers and birth defects from depleted uranium. They expressed no great dismay at the thousands of Iraqi children who died of starvation and disease due to the US embargo of Iraq. Their morality didn't seem to be very offended by the little Vietnamese girl running down the road with napalm burning into her body. They don't seem to be very embarrassed by years of ignoring and covering up CIA covert actions involving death squads, drugs, torture, overthrow of foreign governments, disappearances and mass murder.
Instead, they actually glorify war at Super Bowls with military planes conducting fly overs, military parades, commercials for the army, sports announcers praising the troops and interviews with the President. The corporate media and many in this country have a very distorted view of morality. Killing, burning, blinding, disfiguring and maiming children for the profits and power of US oil barons is terribly immoral. Janet Jackson's bare breasts are not.

Maybe one of the Bilderbergs convinced her to do it.
They want to destroy her brother Michael.
She needs to boost her career. Madonna kissed Britney. People are cussing on TV. Pam Anderson had that video, next thing you know, she's a star again.
Flash a little tit, and she's all over the news.
The military likes her breast, because the rebellion rubs off and makes military service seem rebellious and cool. (Military service is about being obedient and learning to become the "human component" of a mobile death factory.)
I say, "more tits, dicks, asses, and pussies on the TV. Less murder, abuse, rape, and violence."

I'm sure that it's only coincidental that her first single in quite some time was released Monday, the day after the Super Bowl.
I think the half-time show as a whole was an assault against aesthetics.
Pure absolute musical shite from start to finish. The right tit of some talentless has been is the least of it.
The fact that kid rock and sean combs are even still alive is in and of itself offensive.

You make it sound like there's something wrong with us going to war.
Of course war's awful but it's certainly neccessary sometimes. And this is definetly one of those times.
Next.

There are some problems with the military industrial complex.

It looks like the sailor doesn't need to ask, and the biker probably won't tell.

You did an excellent job of illustrating my point. A picture is indeed worth a thousand words.

Your little anti-military rants are amusing.
You've never even spoken to a military member before, have you?
Note: Yelling "Babykiller!" across the street does not count as one-on-one conversation.
"The military likes her breast, because the rebellion rubs off and makes military service seem rebellious and cool. (Military service is about being obedient and learning to become the "human component" of a mobile death factory.)"
And what do you base this nonsense on? Never mind; I doubt even you know.
Suffice it to say you are obviously yet another in a seemingly endless series of self-appointed "experts" in military affairs who has done no research, no interviews, and relies solely on whatever anti-military sludge you can dredge up. Mr. Objective; that's you.
By the way: if you enjoy your freedom to write and publicly post anti-military nonsense, thank a veteran.
