(2) Inglewood, Massive March

by Marcus Monday, Feb. 02, 2004 at 2:33 AM

Today, from 12 PM to 2 PM, more than twenty thousands people marched in the streets of Inglewood, California, to support the striking workers from Vons/Pavilions and the locked out workers from Albertsons and Ralphs supermarkets.

Banner reads, "Your fight is our Fight"

That "LA IMPACT" helicopter over the rally...

by Secret Shopper Monday, Feb. 02, 2004 at 4:58 AM

LA IMPACT (Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force) is a multi-agency police task force supposedly dedicated to handling major crimes and terrorism. Their helicopter circled overhead constantly, from the time people started gathering at the Forum until the final speeches were being given at the temporary stage on Manchester. That's a couple of hours. At times it was difficult to hear the speakers because the helo was flying so low.

So, is peaceful political expression a major crime now, or a terrorist activity? Does anybody know who is supposed to have oversight over these goons?

Everytime we gather peacefully, there are usually 2 of these helocopters circling above. I think also because we're in LA, they take extra measures. I went to the last peace march in San Francisco in Oct. and barely saw a cop the whole time I was there.

The tone of LA

by Sheepdog Wednesday, Feb. 04, 2004 at 7:26 PM

The overall position of the LA police as I have gathered from personal experience is one of constant intimidation and displays of lethal force as an in-cop sports event. Out gunned my %666@#!! as they have more than enough; much more then they can handle now.

I always believed that the 2nd amendment would include the possession of any weapon you could afford. Or construct.

Now there's this bible of 'forbidden weapons' that outlaw more items than you can shake a stick at.

These sadistic morons ( sorry to you few good cops who carry the weight of these assholes on your dangerous job ) carry more casual lethal hardware than you want to find out about with the major stuff a call away.

Don't mess with the guns, mess with the ideology and the logistics.
