Anti-Vivisection Vigil 12/16/03

What: Anti-Vivisection Vigil ~~Rain Does NOT Cancel!~~

What: Anti-Vivisection Vigil ~~Rain Does NOT Cancel!~~

When: Tuesday, December 16, 2003 ==> 7pm to 9pm (Mark Your Calendar!)

Where: The UCLA Faculty Center, 480 Charles Young Drive, L.A. 90095 (on campus at the intersection of Hilgard and Westholme)

We'll meet at 7pm sharp at the north-east corner of Hilgard and Westholme, across the street from the campus -- there is a patio with a fountain in front of a church that is perfect for assembling our collective energies (address: 580 Hilgard). We'll go from there.

The Southern California BioMedical Council will be holding its 35th Networking Forum in the main dining room of the UCLA Faculty Center, in collaboration with the UCLA Brain Research Institute. Their mission is to facilitate networking among "life science" entrepreneurs and "research" institutions -- in short: to promote and encourage vivisection! For more details on their agenda, check the website at www.socalbio.org.

SoCalBio moved their meeting from their usual location at The Wilshire Grand Hotel in downtown L.A. to vivisection territory: UCLA! SoCalBio has come home!! It may be due to the fact that at our last demonstration, after we had broken up to head home, a so-called "security guard" with the hotel savagely attacked and injured two of our fellow activists as they were getting in their car. The hotel is in trouble now and shall pay for its brutalities!

Animals can't take it any more,

and we'll be there to make sure they don't have to!

Consequently, we will be holding a vigil in front of the UCLA Faculty Center, to commemorate the death of all animals butchered in bloody labs by the hands of criminal quacks masquerading as "scientists."

For the occasion, candles will be provided, though feel free to bring your own. Wearing lab garments to denounce the imposters is symbolically ideal, or simply wear black clothing -- keep in mind it's getting chilly in the evenings. Parking can be difficult in Westwood, making it tough to avoid feeding the meters. Read the signs! Carpooling is highly recommended -- contact your people. Conveniently, a map to the location is available through the SoCalBio website.

Caring is good, showing that you do is better. The animals need each and every one of us, so let's all be there!!

Because We Can! Because We Should!

Is this...

So this isn't going to involve any attempts to shut down their little meeting?

...That would be grand

Pathetic

This is a pathetic cry for attention by a chronically unemployable, emotionally undeveloped, and socially wastefull bunch. Go get a job, enroll in a 12-step program to get rid of the bottle habit, and stop using animal rights and vegan causes to masquarade the fact that you cannot get it up.
