Green Party Candidate for President David Cobb comes to Los Angeles.

THIS THURSDAY - December 4th

A very special Westside Greens Film/Event Night

Guest speaker David Cobb, Green Party Candidate for President

Doors open at 7:00pm

Program is 7:30 pm - 9:00pm

Speech followed by Q&A session

If you're excited about the 2004 Presidential Election, come hear from David Cobb, Green Party Candidate for President, about his campaign. Topics of discussion are sure to include why it's important for Greens to run in '04 and strategies to defeat Bush.

David Cobb is a California Green, hailing from Humboldt County. He currently serves as the General Counsel for the Green Party of the United States, and he ran as the Green Party of Texas (GPTX) candidate for Attorney General in 2002. He had a successful law practice until early 2000, when Ralph Nader asked him to manage the Green Party effort in Texas. He serves on the Steering Committee of Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County, and as Campaigns Director for ReclaimDemocracy.org which are both citizen's groups dedicated to contesting and challenging the illegitimate corporate usurpation of our Constitution and our government. Mr. Cobb also lectures and facilitates "Rethinking Corporations/ Rethinking Democracy" seminars and workshops across the country, which focus on how corporations have become unelected governing institutions, and how we can provoke (and win) a nonviolent democratic revolution in response.

The Green Party National Convention will be held in Milwaukee this June, and Green representatives from around the country will be deciding who our Presidential Candidate will be. National candidates currently include (www.votecamejo.org) David Cobb (www.votecobb.org), Lorna Salzman (www.lornasalzman.com), and Kent Mesplay (www.presidentkent.org). Ralph Nader has not yet made a decision as to whether or not he will seek the nomination. Peter Camejo will be running on the California ballot only (as opposed to nationwide), as a "favored person" candidate. The issue of who will be our next Presidential nominee is a huge decision facing the Greens. We welcome you to join us on Dec. 4th to become more knowledgeable about the upcoming campaign season and David Cobb's candidacy in particular.
