Shop and Awe

by Joe Hill Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 at 10:45 AM

New tactics that bring the protest into the store are being adopted. It is catching on and it has a name: Shop and Awe

One loads up their cart full, has all items checked and bagged then refuses to pay and walks out. Some people display signs at the check out stand. Others have a statement they read or make to the scabs and customers in support of the strike.

The union does not want their members to do this, so its up to us activists to make it happen. Get as many of your follow activists together as you can and pick a store. Ask the strike captain on the picket line if they approve of the action, most all yes. This action is legal. The manager may call the cops and they may show up but so far no arrests have been made because no law has been broken.

The campaign is gaining momentum and coming to a store near you.

P.S.

Goon

Here is a tactic that I wish all of you strikers would try....take you sign, put it in you car and go home. Then open a newspaper and look for a new job. Quit bitching about your benefits, and coporate greed and all that shit. Do like the rest of us (non union workers) If you don't like your job....quit. OK?

some more ideas

by . Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at 3:31 PM

-drop stinkbombs around the store.
-fill up carts with weird little odds & ends items, as well as meat and ice cream and other perishables, and then leave the carts around the store
-let them bag your groceries and then say, "Oh, wait, I forgot my wallet in the car, I'll be right back," and then split.
-get a package of fish, open it, set it behind some other merchandise where it won't be found (place several in a store and you will have the store reeking very quickly).

Heres an idea!

Find another job loser. Enough of this bullshit. You asshole really think that the public wants to participate or be victimized by your antics?

"Forgot my wallet"? What's the point?

by Secret Shopper Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 at 4:49 PM

Why tell the scabs that you forgot your wallet? You're there to make a point. After they ring you up, tell them that $XXX.XX is too much to pay for scab groceries, and walk away. At least, that's what I do. :)
