When Scabs attack workers.
An associate of one of the replacement workers assaulted a worker who had left the picket line at Albertsons on Redondo Ave. in Long Beach, to get water. Witnesses say that one of the "scabs" may have pointed the worker out to his friends who than waited for the striking worker to leave the picket line. The worker was getting water from the Strike support truck when he was punched in the face repeatedly. He was taken to the hospital for stitches on his chin and, possibly, above his eye. The police were summoned and took a report of the attacker's description. The replacement worker who was seen talking to the assailant earlier was not questioned In an unrelated story, a scab cashier at the same store was arrested last night for stealing from the register and allowing her friends to shoplift at will.

Scabs behave like vermin. The billionaire owners of the grocery chains are vermin. So they deserve eachother. Who cares if the scabs rip the billionaires off by stealing from the cash registers or if the billionaires rip the scabs off by not paying them overtime? That is what they both should have expected. The so-called low-skilled grocery workers are essential people; the proof is the chaos that the strike has caused in the Southern California grocery industry. On the other hand, if the corporate bosses didn't show up for work, who would care? Things would probably run more smoothly without their interference. They are parasites on society.

I interviewed a guy for a position that was scabbing at Albertsons. He said "I'm getting 10 hours a day with overtime...I can't figure out why those guys are striking".
Needless to say, having his head up his ass may get in the way of performing his required duties...so I didn't hire the imbecile...
....oops, er...I mean..."hero"...

Gee KPC, you're a nice guy after all! I can't think of a more pleasant favor you could have done for someone that that. After all, I don't know anyone that would prefer working for a prick like you over collecting unemployment checks...
