LA FreeCycling - Join the recyling revolution

by PTF Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at 10:43 PM
ptf@pathtofreedom.com

The LA Freecycle Network is open to all cities and to all individuals who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! One constraint: everything posted must be free. And, as Abe Lincoln once said, "Think globally, recycle locally."

One person's junk is another's treasure. Come join the recycle revolution!

The Los Angeles (county) Freecycle Network is established with a primary focus towards the reducing of  waste and with the goals of helping to forge connections between those seeking to acquire an item and those wishing to get discard it.  We also hope to reduce the habits of wastefulness and commercialism and make recycling so easy that it blends into the flow of everyday life.  So before you go out and buy that new product or piece of equipment, stop into LA Freecycle and see if you can find it or a similar item here.

This group is open to all those individuals, organizations, businesses, or groups who want to recycle or donate any item that is no longer useful to them rather than send it to the overcrowded, sprawling trash dumps of our nation.  It can be something as large as an automobile or something as small as a book; so whether it's a chair, a fax machine, an appliance, sports equipment, old wood or bricks, feel free to post it! Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! One constraint: everything posted MUST be free.

So post your requests, your needs, or your junk and connect with someone in your community.  Chances are, there is someone who wants what you have.... or has what you want!

Serving Los Angeles County, which includes but is not limited to the surroundings areas of San Fernando valley and the San Gabriel valley.   LA Freecycle is modeled after and is a part of the worldwide freecycle network and is organized and maintained by  Path to Freedom
