ABOUT THE FILM:

Michael Moore's Oscar award-winning documentary, "Bowling for Columbine,"

is

a humorous and horrifying film about the violent soul of America. Why do

11,000 people die in America each year at the hands of gun violence? Why do

Americans kill each other more often than people in any other democratic

nation? And what is the link between corporate greed and the epidemic of

American violence that leaves so many of us desperately clutching our

Constitutionally-guaranteed Uzi's? From Columbine High School security

tapes, to the young man who makes homemade napalm with The Anarchist's

Cookbook, to the murder of one six-year-old girl by another six-year-old,

the film takes us to that familiar world where 280 million Americans live in

a culture of fear...

DIRECTIONS:

The library is in downtown Glendale, at 222 E. Harvard Street, at the corner

of Harvard and Louise. That intersection is just east of Brand Blvd, between

Broadway and Colorado. From the 134 Fwy, take the Brand Blvd exit going

Louise. From the 5 Fwy, take the Colorado exit, going east to Louise. Turn
