In light of the controversy surrounding the Electronic Voting Machines (http://www.blackboxvoting.com/ ) I am proposing that everyone submit their vote in the form of an absentee ballot. One of the problems with the electronic voting machines is that many of them (if any? and who knows which ones do or don't) do not create a physical log of the voting records. Also there have been reports of abnormalities in vote tallying. Without this physical log it makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible to verify the voting records. If they are not going to allow a trail to be created, I suggest that we create on for them.
I have created a list, by state, of web links of how to vote with an absentee ballot. Don't be fooled, you don't actually have to be absent to vote with an absentee ballot.
This list can also be found at http://www.geocities.com/holesnthesky/absenteevoting.html

Yeah, vote by absentee ballot cause we all know the Government can't get their grubby little paws on those and put the fix in.
If you're so paranoid about the electronic machines, why would you bother voting at all?

This is a route I have advocated all along unless there is the filled in
space type of tally. No paper trail = no accountability.
Ever wonder why the exit polls were so totally divergent from the announced results?

Thousands of absentee ballots were thrown out.
Oddly enough, most were from military members.
Now, let's see...someone refresh my memory about which party militiary members generally vote for.
Like O. T. Clown pointed out, paper ballots are just as subject to abuse.
ANY form of voting is subject to abuse.
I tell you what: if you feel that your vote will be changed or deleted, DON'T VOTE.
That'll show 'em!
[Insert evil laugh here.]

That's a great way to pressure your district not to use Diebold. Also, make sure you note why you're requesting the absentee ballot whenever possible. Let's get this message out.

Fido, you are a liar. And you're stupid. It is not about whether the system can be abused, but whether it can be AUDITED for abuse...
Got any other lies for us today?

Reality is not defined by your ill-informed opinions.
The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll have a chance at happiness.
Besides, moron, if a system can be abused, it can also be abused such that an audit cannot discover it.
Just ask any accountant.

I'm sorry for what I said. I was beyond stupid, but then agian, that's my forte.
Obviously if a system can be abused it can also be covered up so that the abuse is never discovered. It's happened throughtout history. I have problems accepting reality, especially if it doesn't fit my already preconceived notions of how things should be. I'm an idiot.

Fido: "Besides, moron, if a system can be abused, it can also be abused such that an audit cannot discover it. "
Look, Fido, I already know that you know how to roll over and play dead...hell, I taught you that trick!
But your statement is stupid. Why have any laws or any means of investigation if they can be circumvented? Obviously, the truth is that a paper trail makes fraud more difficult.
Oh, that's right...you are Republican...just reading this will make you break out in hives! Better admin the Benadryl quick!
Oh, and I spared the obscenities so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities...(in case nobody's noticed, he's a little light in the loafers...not that there's anything wrong with it...)

Sometimes I ask myself, "Self, why have any laws or any means of investigation if they can be circumvented?" It never occured to me that some people aren't smart enough to know how to cover their tracks. Liberals are a fine example of that. hell, we can't even dress ourselves without a manual. Forgive me for being stupid once again. I'm sure it won't be the last time.

Unlike idiots who bleat what they are told when in reality they haven't the slightest idea what they are talking about (Fido and Mimic, take a bow), I am a certified auditor and I can tell you that tain't as easy as an idiot might believe...so where lying Republican (pardon the redundancy) may think it is smart enough to lie and get away with it, I have built a career on nailing such scum! It's always makes me smile...the more deceptively smart they think they are, the easier it is to catch 'em.
Now, Fido being a loyal doggie...he don't know shit...he always does what he is told...even if he don't get no liver snaps!
..and Mimic the self-loather wishing he were someone else (& who can blame him?)...well...he's so stupid he thinks he's smart!

You couldn't audit your way out of a wet paper bag. You're too damn stupid to hold on to the back of a garbage truck.
BTW, your welfare check is in the mail. Try not to spend it all on Night Train and poppers this time.

Because your lyin'. That's what liberals do, they lie. No self respecting accounting firm would knowingly hire a liberal. No self respecting business would hire a liberal for any position.
Welfare checks in the mail.

How would you know? You never get out of your government subsidized house except to look and see if the welfare check has showed up, and then down to the 7-11 to buy booze and to corner to buy poppers.
A liberal believing he knows anything about business. Make me laugh. Yeah, that's why so many of you bright fuckers are CEO's of major corps, cause you know so much.
Douchbag.
