a jobless recovery is no recovery
7.2% GROWTH RATE:JUST ANOTHER BUSH LIE
by adrian more 10:02am Sat Nov 1 '03
a jobless recovery is no recovery
the gestapoized mainstream media opened yesterday the bush 2004 reelection campaign by trumpeting a fantastic 7.2% us growth rate in the third quarter, allegedly the fastest since 1984. pity that we still have the worst unemployment since 1983.
the purpose of this arguable lie was:
1.to bolster bush's reelection prospects
2.to reverse the bad-news-about-the-economy spree
3.to steal the headlines from the massmurderous, bipartisan congressional approval of the 87 billion dollars requested by criminal against humanity bush for iraq - that is for his and his thugs' carlyle halliburton bechtel bank accounts.
now:what's the source of this miraculous 7,2% galvanization ?
guess reader:bush himself.
that is,the us govt.
and you know reader just how trutworthy bush is since his rigged election - 911 state terror - wmds lies etc.
and:even if the 7,2 lie were true:
does it really affect the average american or just the power pig elite?
well if the news is true,it may be the biggest surge for wall street since 1984 - BUT IT STILL IS A JOBLESS RECOVERY AND IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT SINCE STATE TERRORIST BUSH ILLEGALLY TOOK POWER THERE HAVE BEEN THE WORST JOB LOSSES SINCE 1983 - that is,since bush's model reagan.
and the average american may thus stick another jobless recovery up bush's ass.

Number of Hungry Families in U.S. Rising
Saturday November 1, 2003 12:46 AM
By EMILY GERSEMA
Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) - About 12 million American families last year worried that they couldn't afford to buy food, and 32 percent of them actually experienced someone going hungry at one time or another, the Agriculture Department said Friday.
It was the third year in a row that the department has seen an increase in the number of households experiencing hunger and those worried about having enough money to pay for food.
Based on a Census Bureau survey of 50,000 households, the department estimated that 3.8 million families were hungry last year to the point where someone in the household skipped meals because they couldn't afford them. That's an 8.6 percent increase from 2001, when 3.5 million families were hungry, and a 13 percent increase from 2000.
Also, more and more families are unsure if they can afford to eat or don't have enough food in their cupboards.
Last year, 11 percent of 108 million families were in that situation. That's up 5 percent from 2001 and 8 percent from 2000.
Most poor families struggling with hunger tried to ensure their children are fed, the report said. Nonetheless, one or more children in an estimated 265,000 families on occasion missed meals last year because the families either couldn't afford to eat or didn't have enough food at home.
Margaret Andrews, a department economist and an author of the annual survey, said the prevalence of hunger and food insecurity is clearly tied to the poverty rate because they fluctuate together.
The survey ``was a confirmation that the series of data over the years are behaving as you might expect, in a similar manner that poverty is,'' she said, noting the latest estimates by the Census Bureau show more people are poor.
Some 34.6 million Americans were living in poverty last year - 1.7 million more than in 2001, according to the Census Bureau.
It doesn't seem as if hunger would be a problem in this country since food is abundant. Supermarket shelves in the United States are filled with hundreds of different products and restaurants are practically on every corner.
Plus, the country is struggling with fat. Nearly 65 percent of adults and 13 percent of children are overweight, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Barbara Laraia, an associate professor of nutrition at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, said hunger and obesity can coexist because many hungry families struggle with their weight. She said they tend to buy high-calorie foods that are low in nutrients.
``They're dependent on foods that are going to make their bellies feel full, rather than on nutrients,'' Laraia said. ``The diet is compromised.''
Also, many families will spend their incomes on fixed expenses before buying food.
``Food is the most elastic part of the budget, meaning that's what households will compromise on when they have fixed payments such as their rent and their utilities,'' Laraia said.
Jim Weill, an advocate and president of the Food Research and Action Center, said more families are hungry because they still are reeling from the 2001 recession. He also blamed a minimum wage that hasn't been raised from .15 an hour since 1997.
The Agriculture Department said surveys since 1995 show that low-income households most likely to suffer from hunger are Hispanic and black, single-mother families, and those in inner cities and southern and western states.

1-Lying with Numbers: The Bullish Market disinformation
Does the financial media -- CNBC, FNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, etc. -- put a bullish spin on negative economic numbers?
Yes, says political-market analyst Al Martin in his column “Lying with Numbers: How the Financial Media Gets Fresh Sucker Buyers Daily.”
Martin charges that “the economic numbers and estimates are manipulated with out and out lies, so they would appear less bearish than they actually were, for the benefit of the Average Investor. When he or she looks at the evening summary, when they have all the end of the day Bushonian Shills like Hugh Johnson, Bill Seidman, Larry Kudlow,” investors will be deceived into believing that the equity markets are in a recovery.
"Jim Cramer will bang his fist on the table and say, 'You’ve got to buy. Economic numbers don’t matter any more. Nobody listens to them. You’ve got to buy,'” Martin continues. “Then the cycle will start again the next day. And a new crop of Sucker Buyers will be harvested tomorrow…”
and Bill Casey with the covert Operation Black Eagle.
Today Martin writes a Weekly Market Summary, published on his news-analysis website, “Al Martin Raw.com: Political, Economic and Financial Intelligence.”
His column on the market pundits’ Bullish Spin-Lie cycle cites government-released economic statistics, revised and edited into a bullish spin in order to support a declining market and seduce fresh retail sucker buyers.
The main culprits in the Bullish Market Conspiracy, he says, are the “rabid Bushonian connected talking-head pundits like Larry Kudlow” who engage in what Martin calls Bullish Spin-Lies in order to bring in more sucker buyers into a declining market. Martin also cites phoney government press releases and so-called “terror alerts” which are used to manipulate market action (as in “We’ve almost got Saddam. No. Wait. It wasn’t him after all”)
“Lying with numbers starts with the Bush administration,” writes Martin. “Then the lies become coordinated with the financial media. The financial media then, coordinates the lies amongst themselves. You could see this clearly when Bloomberg, FNN, CNBC, etc. all released the same nonsensical revisions at the same time.”
“The made up numbers suddenly became the same for every outlet which were released exactly the same second on all the different networks – which proves that the financial media must be colluding with each other to get the new Spin-Lies straight,” Martin charges.
(This is reminiscent of the time when both Time and Newsweek had Howard Dean as the cover boy – while ignoring all other Democratic candidates. Was it conspiracy, media collusion or just coincidence?)
Martin continues, “The Bullish Spin Lies (BSL) are then coordinated. The BSL coordination starts at the White House then filters through the government agencies involved in reporting the numbers -- Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Treasury Department, Department of Commerce, the Fed, etc. That is the first level of BSL between government agencies and financial media. The second level of BSL is inter-financial media.”
“Remember that when the estimates were changed, it was the media that changed these estimates. The estimates were all announced precisely the same second on four different networks and the new lie which was simply a created lie was the same on all four networks.”

SUBMISSION - January 8, 2003
"I was serving in my nations air-force, when I was invited to
a recruitment drive for our 'secret service', mainly because of my
doctorate in neurophysiology. I spent 6 years with the service before
being granted leave to work at a large multi-national investment bank.
"My work here relates to the manipulation of the stock market in such a
way that when trade information is displayed on most of the common
trading systems, various 'subliminal' messages are relayed to brokers
in order to maximize our profits. My tenure here is coming to an end,
and I plan on retiring in the next few months.
"I guess I was motivated primarily by curiosity and intrigue
at the advances in neurophysiology being employed by these
agencies, and it was only recently that I began to realise
the nefarious side of my employment. To be honest, I am only
human, and as such a pawn in the greater scheme of things,
and the financial remuneration has been significant. In
essence, I have 'sold out'. Those in my field are on
salaries equivalent to US million+ per annum. My base
salary is only US0,000 (which is typical for a long
standing employee of an investment bank), with the remainder
being paid through various off-shore accounts. When I retire
I hope to publicise my information."
