Iraqi resistance kicked Wolfowitz's ass out of Iraq (by Latuff)

ROCKETS DRIVE WOLFOWITZ OUT OF IRAQ HOTEL

By CHARLES J. HANLEY, AP Special Correspondent

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. occupation authority retreated from its headquarters Sunday after Iraqi insurgents, using a "science project" of a rocket launcher, attacked the heavily guarded hotel with a missile barrage that killed an American colonel, wounded 18 other people and sent the visiting deputy defense secretary scurrying for safety.

Paul Wolfowitz, the shaken-looking but unhurt Pentagon deputy, said the strike against the Al Rasheed Hotel, from nearly point-blank range, "will not deter us from completing our mission" in Iraq.

But the bold blow at the heart of the U.S. presence here clearly rattled U.S. confidence that it is defeating Iraq's shadowy insurgents.

"We'll have to get the security situation under control," Secretary of State Colin Powell told NBC's "Meet the Press."

The Bush administration knew postwar security would be a challenge, but "we didn't expect it would be quite this intense this long," he said.

The assault was likely planned over at least the past two months, a top U.S. commander said, as the insurgents put together the improvised rocket launcher and figured out how to wheel it into the park just across the street from the hotel.

The effect of the 6:10 a.m. volley of rockets was dramatic: U.S. officials and officers fled from the Al Rasheed, some still in pajamas or shorts to a nearby convention center. The concrete western face of the 18-story building was pockmarked with a half-dozen or more blast holes, and windows shattered in at least two dozen rooms.

The modern, 462-room Al-Rasheed, housing civilian officials of the U.S.-led Coalition Provisional Authority and U.S. military personnel, is a symbol of the occupation. The assault highlighted the vulnerability of even heavily guarded U.S. facilities in Iraq, where American forces sustain an average of 26 lower-profile attacks daily, and where Wolfowitz came to assess ways to defeat the stubborn 6-month-old insurgency.

More than 15 hours after the rocket fire and after U.S. security officials flooded the neighborhood, two explosions went off in the same downtown area. An Iraqi policeman said an assailant fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a U.S. convoy next to the al-Mansour Hotel, about a mile away from the Al Rasheed. There were no casualties, he said.

A day earlier, a rocket-propelled grenade forced down a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter north of Baghdad, the 4th Infantry Division confirmed Sunday. The incident occurred just hours after Wolfowitz left that area on the second day of his three-day visit. One soldier was injured.

The U.S. command said the wounded included seven American civilians, four U.S. military personnel and five non-U.S. civilians working for the coalition. Two Iraqi security guards also were hurt. The command did not immediately identify the dead American, but Wolfowitz said he was a U.S. colonel.

A senior FBI official said the bureau, the Defense Department, the State Department and Iraqi police were all involved in the investigation. Wolfowitz and his aides were very close to the area of the hotel that was struck, but there was no indication the attack was directed at Wolfowitz, the Pentagon said.

Brig. Gen. Martin Dempsey of the 1st Armored Division said he believed the insurgents timed the attack with the lifting this weekend of an overnight curfew in Baghdad and the reopening of a main city bridge.

"Any time we demonstrate a return to normalcy, there are those who will push back at that," said Dempsey, who is responsible for security in Baghdad.

Iraqi police said the attacker or attackers boldly drove a white Chevrolet pickup to the edge of the city's main Zawra Park and Zoo, just 400 yards southwest of the hotel, towing what looked like a portable, two-wheeled generator.

A police commander said on condition of anonymity that when security guards approached, the assailants drove off, but rockets within the blue trailer apparently had been set to fire via a timer and suddenly ignited, flashing toward the hotel, a clear shot looming just over the treetops.

"When he saw us, he fled," guard Jabbar Tarek said of the driver. The guards weren't armed, Tarek said, or "I would have fired on him."

Tarek and one other guard were lightly injured by rockets that exploded prematurely, Dempsey said.

"I thought my house was being destroyed, it was such a huge sound," Hamoudi Mutlag, 48, said of the rockets' impact.

An Al Rasheed maintenance worker, he was asked whether he now feared staying in his house, situated between the firing point and the hotel.

"Every place in Baghdad is dangerous now that the Americans are here," he said.

Dempsey said the attackers welded together a 40-pod launcher that held both 68mm and 85mm artillery rockets. Between eight and 10 struck the hotel, and 11 never left their tubes, he said.

The division commander said the insurgent operation required "some reconnaissance and some rehearsal," and possibly two months' preparation. The device was not sophisticated - "a science project in a garage with a welder and a battery and a handful of wires" - but it was effective, he said.

"There is no guarantee we can protect against this kind of thing unless we have soldiers on every block," one of Dempsey's reconnaissance officers, 1st Lt. Brian Dowd, said at the scene.

The general said his troops had to disarm booby-trap explosives attached to the trailer before towing it away.

A coalition official said on condition of anonymity that the authority later ordered the hotel evacuated indefinitely, its hundreds of guests to be scattered among other lodging places in the so-called "Green Zone," a heavily guarded district along the Tigris River that includes the palace headquarters of the authority, the offices of the interim Iraqi Governing Council, and the Convention Center housing coalition press relations and other offices.

The formerly government-owned Al Rasheed, Baghdad's best-known luxury hotel, was taken over by occupation authorities after U.S.-British forces toppled the Baathist government of President Saddam Hussein in April.

The well-planned attack was the second on the hotel, which was hit Sept. 27 by small rockets or rocket-propelled grenades that caused minimal damage and no casualties.

In his brief morning statement, Wolfowitz spoke of "even bigger news" than the hotel attack - the growing number of Iraqis being trained and equipped "and going out on patrols, fighting these criminals."

The U.S. administration largely blames die-hard Saddam loyalists and foreign fighters for the continuing hit-and-run guerrilla war. But other Iraqis opposed to the U.S. occupation also are believed to be participating in the resistance.

At his news conference, Dempsey noted the number of attacks started surging in September.

"Why haven't the number of attacks gone down? I don't know the answer to that," he said. The U.S. command is "still trying ... to figure out exactly why that happened."

Also Sunday, a Spanish army sergeant died after being shot accidentally by a colleague, Spain's defense ministry said.

things are not what they appear to be

by adrian more Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at 5:10 PM

or better,more logically:
things MAY not be what they seem.
follow me reader if you will - thru the smokescreen and into the beautiful realm of logical critical thinking.

the devil's always in the details.

1.a few hours ago these so-called "iraqi insurgents" attacked the red cross;over the past months, they've attacked the un,iraqi police, shiite muslims, and other non us targets:
don't you find it strange?
why on earth would iraqi insurgents, whose alleged purpose it is to kick america's ass out of iraq, wanna select targets that are sure to alienate international, non us solidarity from iraq and the iraqi people themselves?

2.about a month ago,the mainstream press briefly reported that 8 attackers had been arrested for targeting marines:of the 8,6 were americans and 2 british...of couse the embarassing news got obfuscated the next day and then silenced completely, but NOT disclaimed...
doesn't it make you wonder reader?

3.after a recent bagdad hotel bombing, the regime AP first reported about a witness who'd seen a "LIGHT-SKINNED,UNBEARDED" MAN AT THE WHEEL OF THE TOYOTA COROLLA THAT ALLEGEDLY CAUSED THE BLAST - only to mysteriously delete this reference shortly thereafter...:

http://www.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=357163&group=webcast

are you beginning to connect the dots reader?

ask yourself if you will:

cui prodest, whom benefits this alleged "iraqi insurgency"?

maybe those who want to keep iraqi unstable at all costs in order to preserve the us occupation and its dirty war business as long as possible...

now one might reasonably object:
but look,it can't be us govt terror, they've just targeted wolfie himself!!!

really? well, who can really say where exactly wofie was at the time of the blasts?
and:have you heard that there's been quite a bit of internecine strife recently at the pentagon and white house?...

"maybe those who want to keep iraqi unstable at all costs"

Exactly, Finally a cogent thought from lonely basement guy.

No one benefits more than Isalmic fundamentalists who see a western led stable Iraq as THE number one obstacle in the way of their desire to create, yet another, despotic stoneage Islamic shithole.

Absolutely no one. In as much as we are practically begging for international support and money. and we've already said over and over that we'll be there for a couple of years at least, it serves absolutely no purpose for us to keep the situation unstable.

Not even from a purely cynical profit motive standpoint.

Another, "America is behind everything that's wrong with the world" misinterpretation by our latest conspiracy lunatic.

...some further elements pointing to busharon being secretly behind this alleged iraqi insurgence:

1.these so-called insurgents have been kicking the only world's superpower's ass for 6 long months now - can you come up with 1 other historical example of a genuine popular resistance showing up and succesfully challenging an occupying superpower without bigtime external help?
the vietcong had russia and china.
the european maquis in WW2 had the us.

but who the hell may be behind these alleged guerrillas?
who in the world today would dare challenge the us?
who's been paying these guerrillas for 6 months?
providing them with safe houses, logistics, rpgs, endless supplies of ammo, guns af all sorts, pickup trucks and so on?

how could a bunch of 3d world guerrillas possibly defy 200,000 western occupiers?

unless of course busharon himself - the cui prodest the most - were pulling the strings...

"What country benefits the most from instability in Arab countries?

The leaders of these same Arab nations who profit greatly from reppressing their own people and scapegoating America and Israel

Who desires to break down Arab society so that it is incohesive and thrown into disrepute?

Beyond the fact that Arab society couldn't be much more incohesive and disfunctional to begin with, it is obviously the unimaginably rich leaders of these societies who benefit.

Who has shown an uremitting hostility toward Arabs?

Uh other Arabs. Ever hear of the Hama massacre? Black Tueday? Slavery in Sudan?Tribal slaughter throughout the entire region?

Who is busy expanding their Borders?

Could it have been Egypt Syria and Jordan when they tried to annihilate Israel in 1967?

Whose racist policies in the Middle East discriminate against Arabs?

Again only ARabs. Israel is the only state in the entire middle east where an Arab gave freely vote and hold office in a real election.

So Cui Bono? (Who Benefits?)

The same people that always benefit in a despotism. The leaders who oppress and scapegoat the enemy.

Remember Goldstein?

sounds familiar reader?
911 maybe?

now,the generals receive a warning - how? what? which? from whom? - and thay fail to act thereupon on the eve of bigpig wolfie's visit?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................

could it be that this alleged iraqi insurgency is being allowed to happen,or even directly perpetrated,by busharon just like 911?

and the more iraqi instability continues, the more bush and his gang of corporate thugs profit from it:
cheeny's halliburton sells more logistics and raises its tariffs due to the risks inherent to the high volatility...and so do rummy's bechtel, bush's carlyle etc.

gettin' the drift reader?

oh no good soldier:
it's poor working class us soldiers and a few brave officials who are wasting their lives unnecessarily - not to mention the thousands of innocent iraqi deaths.

moving Wolfowitz and his delegation out of the hotel

by Meyer London Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at 10:23 PM

I've got a better idea that will keep them really safe - move them out of the country.
They are not Iraqi citizens.
They are not legally there as tourists or immigrants.
They are leading an armed band of armed and highly dangerous people.
They are working for George Bush, noted war criminal and flunky of the oil industry.
They are getting many teenage Americans who were suckered into joining the military for college money killed.
They have the blood of thousands of Iraqis on their hands.
They should take their teen-age soldiers with them and get out - now.

You realize they can't leave until the former State of Iraq has been divided into feuding ethnic or religious regions shooting each other
over the scraps of Conquest American Style. When they do come home, the massive parade will not be repeated. They can't let these guys come back in mass, if at all. This is what sickens me.
But it's getting out. Very few people who I talk to about this are not in major agreement with me in small conversation about these issues.
I have problems in communication with religious fundamentalists, however. Most of the folk I deal with are in agreement on many levels believing they are alone.

"feuding ethnic or religious regions shooting each other"

That's right. Better to keep these people under lock and key Soviet Union style so they don't kill each other. The Serbians and the Bosnians and the Croats were better off under the Soviet Union where they were forced to live together under one iron fist. To believe these people might actually work together towards peace with one another with the help the world community is as barbaric as the people themselves. These people hold ethnic and religious differences that can never be resolved and no efforts should ever be made to even assist them. Either let's get communist Russia back and running again and we can let the Soviets have them so they can deal with them or just turn these Iraqi tribes loose like the animals they are and let them fight until one side overcomes the other and they rule over them.

Yes, the Serbs, Croats, Bosnian Muslims and ethnic Albanians were a lot better off under Tito than they have been since 1990. That is especially true of the ones who have been shot to death, raped, enslaved by some self-appointed representatives of a master race or religion, or burned alive by NATO bombing. Whatever his faults, and those of his political system (and there were many, many), Tito put people who wanted to organize pogroms, race riots, or private armies bent on extermination where they belonged - behind bars or in a hospital getting free psychiatric help.

slavery, life and death

by Meyer London Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at 12:42 AM

No, slavery is not preferable to freedom. But life is preferable to death, and equality is preferable to a situation in which people are shot, raped or enslaved because they belong to a certain ethnic group. Perhaps you disagree.
Also, the word freedom means different things to different people - like most abstractions. Jefferson Davis said he should have freedom to own slaves. Many parents claim that they should have freedom to beat their children. Many husbands claim they should have freedom to beat their wives. Rich growers in Kern County claim they should have freedom not to provide their workers with toilets in the fields and to pay them below the minimum wage. Pardon me for suspecting that those are the kinds of freedom you would really go for.

I agree with Meyer - jerry DOES rely on the primitive hating part of his brain - so much so, not only does he fail to percieve any life beyond hate, he finds it neccessary to project his hate as well onto other people - even people who can't hate and would never be a threat, or do him any harm, who are far smarter than him and could, but who wouldn't - under any conditions.

As one of those person's he could claim it's possible for me to hate - he could get me to hate him by tying me up and beating me and torturing me until I lose my mind and all that's left is hate..

Just like you can take a docile animal and wip it and kick it until you make it mean...

So unchecked he could infect other people with his hate, by being abusive, mean and cruel. It would take quite a saint to not be pulled down to his animalistic hate under those conditions..

One wonders though how many people he needs to tear into to satisfy his lust for hate ?

One wonders what his price is too, how much money would he want to kill someone, is the price the same for everyone, does any human life have value to him at all - after all he hates and wants to see people die *for free* - as he spews constantly on IMC as "j"

flippant but as expected

by Hex anon w/ encryption Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at 4:51 PM

> I would expect you to show no mercy

Good enough

here's what I would do ;

1.) tell you I'm untying you
2.) untie you right away

that's it !

If I walked in and someone else had tied you up or if you were in a jail cell or something - same thing..

I would tell you I'm getting you out, then do so right away..

nothing more - no strings attached

this underscores my point I raised in the "how to maim police by hex" thread.

I hate no one - even you (a type of person I would be most expected to hate)

because your respect as a human being extends far beyond any attitudes I might have on how right or wrong you are..

a universial respect for all human life...

I brought this up because in assigning hate to me (again) you seem to have forgotten this. You make a good example - if I don't even hate YOU how can you honestly say I hate *anyone* ?

It's insulting and disrespectful to even suggest it and the "not having the balls" situation you have, is completely bass-ackwards. It doesn't take courage to hate - it takes courage to NOT hate. Hate is derived from a lack of courage. Like the courage you would want sitting there tied up at the mercy of people you yourself hate and therefore expect the same from.

The same dysfunction that causes you to piss yourself in fear, from the demons of your own imagination, causes you to lash out at others to accuse them of hating as well.

As a totally non-hating person my first order of business in that situation is to ease your fear - to put your mind at ease by saying I'm letting you go, and doing it without delay as every second that goes by you sit there in fear anyway not believing people could be nicer than you are.

How much respect I have for you - that's another matter entirely but that's on an intellectual level, on the basic human respect level you get just as much protection from fear as anyone else

If there was a nuclear war and you were outside in the fallout wanting into our shelter, even though I have little respect for your attitudes and mindset, I would let you in without hesitation thus saving your life, because first and foremost you're a HUMAN..

If someone was about to shoot you I would try to stop them even risking my own life - even though there's nothing I like about you personally - even if you were any race imaginable - it doesn't matter what color your skin is..

I posted the girl on purpose hoping you would identify with her suffering - you did, but your bias required you to assign her as an American to do so...

She isn't.

But that at least shows there's some good, some bit of humanity in you... All you need to do now is extend this to all of mankind like I have.

How safe would we be then ? How much hate would you need to deal with the realities of life ?

by If this is true Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at 5:39 PM

A point that struck me as being "on the money" is that the Troops cannot be allowed to come back in large groups with easy Press access.

Why?

The story they would tell would run absolutely counter to the Official Spin.

This could explain in part why overstressed, and overworked, Troops keep getting their rotation date set further and further forward into the future. Can't allow them to come back too soon or the "Jig is Up". Look to see them extended past the next election and then rotated home in small groups to little publicity.

> you only obfuscate and nonone not even i understand what the fuck you're all about

"no one" , speaking for other's are we ? If you cannot understand something simply IGNORE IT.

You shouldn't expect people to lower themselves to your limited mental abilities just because your attention span is such that you cannot separate your own simplistic ramblings from the "noise" of other discussions taking place.

this discussion you've been having isn't exactly groundbreaking and you're not presenting new evidence or anything - just rambling about old news and OPINION

the threads I've started about the USS Liberty have more "newsworthyness" as they apply to person's completely outside "my opinions" with supported and varified FACTS that became part of a world-wide story that just happened to be making the rounds at the time.

in comments anything's fair game - you don't OWN the thread. the discussion that's taking place besides yours deals with a serious problem - serious enough that changes have been concidered to this IMC and *people have been banned* because of it.

the context of talking at a troll is to show everyone here - including your dumb ass - how trolls operate and what emotions they play upon as the feeding in the form of batting insults back and forth continues

you know - much like you just did TWICE

so it's not a question of "if your not a troll" - I provided ample proof - I expect you to retract that accusation and keep to yourself, as flamebaiting in the mist of productive discussions is it'self considered the mark of a troll

you didn't see me trying to tell you what to talk about in comments and didn't see me accusing and name calling

such attitudes are the material of setting up your own blog where your rules have force..

IMC isn't about your rules or wishes however, it's about participation - by everyone.

the best you can expect outside of IMC taking actions like moderation, banning or the threat thereof is to *ignore what you don't like*

not go around calling long time IMC patrons trolls & moles just because *you can't understand whats being said*

We have no obligation to dumb down for you..

The "they" are a minority who would gladly force the rest of the people to live in fear and under an iron fist as Saddam had them living prior to the war. It's only been 7 months. It's going to take a while to weed out the bad elements and undo all the damage that Saddam created over 30 years. We need to stay until we complete the job. And that's what we'll do. 'I Was Just Waving It'

by Ffutal Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at 10:10 PM

Is there a serious antiwar movement in America? Salon's Michelle Goldberg, who is highly sympathetic to the antiwar cause, has a devastating piece on this weekend's protest in Washington. Here's the opening anecdote:

"Allan Johnson, a high school English teacher and debate coach from Fairfax, Va., held a sign saying "U.S. Troops Out of Iraq. Bring Them Home Now!" at Saturday's "End the Occupation" rally in Washington. In fact, though, Johnson isn't sure he wants to bring the troops home now, or to end the American occupation of Iraq. At least, not yet.

"We've made a giant mess," said Johnson, a handsome man who wore his long snowy hair in a ponytail and had a sparkling stud in one ear. "I would hate for the Bush administration to halfway fix things and then leave, and then blame the Iraqis if things go wrong. Once you go to somebody's house and break all the windows, don't you owe them new windows?"

Why, then, was he marching at an End the Occupation rally? "I don't agree with all the people here, believe you me," he said. But his own sign? He glanced at it, startled, and explained that someone had handed it to him. "I didn't even look at it," he said. "I was just waving it."

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/10/27/antiwar/index_np.html

The group that sponsored the protest, International Answer, is evil, not clueless. A front for the Stalinist Workers World Party, Answer is engaging in outright sedition; Goldberg quotes from an Answer pamphlet: "The anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance"--that would be the guerrillas and terrorists who've been blowing up American servicemen, Iraqi civilians and international do-gooders.

If the peace-freaks who've taken to the street can't be taken seriously, what about the antiwar tilt of the Democratic Party? One suspects this is more the lurching of a dying beast than a serious political program, and Goldberg has a telling quote:

"There's no liberal message that separates the welfare of the Iraqi people from that of the Bush administration. In a New Republic article this week, Michael Crowley quotes Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., complaining that his colleagues' Iraq stances are driven by blind rage. "In trying to pin them down, I say, 'At the end of the day, we have to have a policy to cope with what to do now,' " he told Crowley. "And they say, 'Well, we're just pissed off.' They don't really even attempt to argue the policy of it."

Those of us who've endured the various Democratic presidential debates are left with the same impression. It's hard to imagine any of the current presidential candidates, outside the lunatic fringe (Al Sharpton and Dennis Kucinich), opposing the liberation in Iraq if a Democrat were in the White House. For the other candidates (with the partial exceptions of Joe Lieberman, Dick Gephardt and Carol Moseley Braun, who to varying degrees have refused to join the cut-and-run crowd), the war seems to be beside the point. They want President Bush to lose, and if America loses in the process, well, that's just collateral damage.

The End of Liberal Compassion?

by Ffutal Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 at 8:58 PM

Here's a conundrum for our left-of-center friends: Does the rise of the Angry Left mark the end of the Democrats at the party of compassion? Yesterday I noted a fascinating article on "antiwar" activists by Salon's Michelle Goldberg; Goldberg's piece prompted a variety of letters from fellow liberals, some of them quite thoughtful. But we were struck by this one, by one Tom Pryor (third letter):

"George Packer and Paul Berman can pontificate all they want about how America needs to commit more resources to Iraq, but those guys have nice, cushy think-tank jobs and don't really have to worry about surviving President Bush's recession like the rest of us.

I'm as big a liberal as the next guy, but I've been out of work for a year now and my unemployment insurance is long gone, and frankly, I couldn't give a flying fuck about the plight of the Iraqi people. I've got my own problems. What the hell have they ever done for me? Why should I subsidize their healthcare when I can't even afford my own?

I was against this war and this president from the beginning, and since nobody seemed to want to listen to me, I really do not feel any personal responsibility for the plight of the Iraqi people. I say let the Republicans choke on their mistakes in Iraq--or better yet, let Fox News, Halliburton and the Trireme Group pay for the costs of reconstruction. If these clowns love privatization so much, let's see how they handle it. Then, after they fuck up, let's let the U.N. handle the rest of it, so we can bring the troops home and start worrying about dumping Bush and fixing the economy, healthcare and the national debt.

If Packer and Berman (and their ilk) still want me to support $87 billion for Iraqi reconstruction, how about they pony up $87 thousand for my own personal financial reconstruction?"

http://www.salon.com/opinion/letters/2003/10/28/dazed/index.html

It seems clear that the Angry Left is appealing in part to pure selfishness. And in any case, it's difficult to be considerate of the well-being of others when you're blinded by rage.

Another good one, Ffutal.

by nonanarchist Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 at 10:19 PM

When I was a kid, it seemed like liberals were more concerned with the plight of the "little people" than were conservatives.

Not so anymore.

Proof of this is the liberal stance on this war. They certainly didn't have any problems with Clinton's military actions. Yet now, when there's a Republican in the White House...Bush can't even order a buck private to give somebody a dirty look without the liberals screeching "Imperalization!" or some similar nonsense.

Never forget that had the anti-war crowd gotten their way, Iraqis would still be dying by acid baths, plastic shredders, rape squads. Their children would continue to be imprisoned. Mass graves would be dug and filled. The so-called "peace" movement would sacrifice any number of little brown people, as long as Bush is thwarted.

Never forget this...and never forgive it.

Obviously they don't want anyone there who can help the Iraqi people break the bonds of slavery and be able to choose their own form of government. Will you believe this? No.

The are a bunch of pro-Saddam thugs who had life pretty good under Saddam. These are the same guerrillas and terrorists who've lately been blowing up American servicemen, Iraqi civilians and international do-gooders. They lost their power. They want it back. They're pissed. Whatever they have to do to get foreigners out of the way so they can re-establish that iron fisted rule, they'll try.

To even suggest that the US would intentionally bomb the UN or the Red Cross for their own purposes is sicko. But, such is the mind(lessness) of the Indymedia types.

HEX I'M ON YOUR SIDE
by adrian more Wednesday October 29, 2003 11:35 PM

cyberfighting against da trolls

i think i'm figuring out what you've been trying to do,hex anon w/encryption,and I'd like to let you know i'm fully and squarely on your side in the fight against these goddam judeochristonazi trolls.

first i'd like to give la readers an idea of your precious work by reposting one of your great recent comments:

>>wow - he even failed the no brainer
by Hex anon w/ encryption Tuesday October 28, 2003 12:02 PM

fresca > nonanarchist > daveman > "J" > Jerry > Jerry Lawson

here-(and boards where IP is shown)--LGF--IMC--LGF--Jerry's old blogs

I directly traced daveman/J to J on LGF, where "Jerry" appears and the blogs in question are mentioned.

Then a general search also confirmed the 2 blogs.
Reading both blogs in thier entirety revealed the exact same details fresca leaked ;

retired or close to, military reservist who'se never seen combat yet roots for other's to do so

same part of the country (eastern seaboard)

same general job description (sits on his ass all day)

and most importantly (as revealed by his old blogs) exact same attitudes about the specific issues he brings up himself on here, LGF and the global IMC

same level of technical background (very little) too..

everything matches - some aspects cross-match in up to 3 ways (here, LGF, his blogs)

Like kobe, you left too many droppings and a trail back to your older days when you used your real name.

I did an extensive search on "Jerry Lawson" - there's several others's with the same name that had to be weeded out... Your background and interests gave you away.

You weren't careful enough to cover your tracks back to the old days where you freely used your full name - the key part of the trace was LGF posts

"Scottie" appears to be Scott Danahy as well (I've only just started investigating him)

I'm digging dirt on all LGF'ers including charles the perv

As for me you can dig all you like but you will NEVER see my real name because I never used it - I've been anonymous since day one and the places I started out at don't exist anymore. I will continue to expose people like you however

Why you ask ?

What's this "obsession" I have ?

It's LGF's tactics turned around - this is what THEY spend thier time doing, trying to uncover and expose "leftists", trying to find out who they are, where they live, etc

I see it going on all the time - as soon as some person or web site is on LGF's radar screen the very first thing they do is work to expose and uncover the person's identities - while trying (poorly I might add) to hide thier own - just like you'all do on here - like kobe does.

So since I'm anon from the get go, and you have no chance at all to uncover MY identity, I can turn the tables and work to expose YOU while remaining safely anonymous.

Anti-LGF, using the same dirty tactics LGF uses against the *people I support*.

After 2 years of kobe and DeVoy games, kobe is gone, even after he promised to "post here everyday to prove he can".

The new evidence of his death threat to Davis combined with banning by IP seems to have done the trick.

So much for his "expertise"...

So much for his innocence too (if he really was innocent he would have no concern at all about what I posted and *would still be here*)

If he really was an expert he would have no problem posting here with something as minor as his IP banned

This shows he can't even switch proxies effectively.

Now with all working proxies at IMC's fingertips, his available pool of proxies to use have been reduced 99 percent too - and anyone else who tries to abuse proxies.

and this hate thing - we've been over this 3 times now, you're going circular on me again (spin cycle)

maybe fresca can show us where kobe's daily post "to prove he can" is because I can't find them - even in the hidden comments.. >>.

new readers who've just approached indy - ANY well-attended indy site - will notice in no time how there appears to be a host of fascist posters who seem to have a helluva lotta time on their fuckin' hands -
actually they seem to have ALL the time in the world - to savagely and crassly attack logical critical free and especially antisionist antibush thinking on indy.

it is clearly a worldwide orchestrated campaign whose backers can only be those who benefit from silencing spamming dissent:

the judeochristonazi trimurti that rules da world - busharonblair and their cronies worldwide.

reader notice how no matter what time you log on to la or any given indy site,no matter what day or time of year you'll find such agents provocateurs as:

here on la :

fresca=daveman=nonanarchist=scottie and so on and on with an endless string of self-multiplied monikers.

hex quoted above has chosen a technical approach to try and unmask these bastards who daily circle free thinking on indy like vultures circle their prey.

i have chosen a purely logical approach, based on nearly 2 years of experience on indy on my part - and i have reached exactly th same conclusions as hex:

1.normally i would have nothing against nazis posting on a leftwing site because i'm in favor of freedom and i know that when confronted with logical thinking nazis can only ridicule themselves.

2.normally i wouldn't approve of hex's or my attempts to track down and identify these sobs because i'm in favor of privacy

3.BUT I AM ALSO IN FAVOR OF LEGITIMATE DEFENSE - AND SINCE THEY ARE DOING IT TO US,WE'VE BEGUN TO DO IT TO THEM

4.what they've done to us?
well i'm not just talking about the daily spam harassing on indy.
I'M TALKING ABOUT 6 DEATH THREATS THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THEM IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS - not here on la,on other sites;
I'M TALKING ABOUT THE CONSTANT ATTEMPT TO CAPTURE MY PERSONAL DATA BY POSING AS SUPPORTERS,SENDING ME EMAILS AND ASKING ME TO WRITE TO THEM,AND THEN POSTING MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON INDY IN THE VAIN ATTEMPT TO SCARE ME OFF THE WIRE.
and on and on with the harassment of dissent.

well look what happened to mr buchanan of the new hampshire gazette, gestapoized america has always acted like that.

it is time to react.

i totally agree with hex that the fresca shill must be spamming from new england given the ungodly - for la - hours at which he starts his spam shifts.

i totally agree with hex that he and his colleagues are probably retired psychopats who fit the all-american-bullet-headed profile.

that's because they have nothing to do all day.

thay are probably getting paid, but it could even be that they volunteer if they are retired because thay are true believers in the stars and swastika.

there's probably 2 or 3 of them alternating on indy because 1 single person could not possibly handle the 24/7 wire spamming they are performing.

they may be jews - not that it counts much, but they usually focus on antisionist posts more than anything else,so they are either sonist jews or soinist christian nazis.

it is absolutely necessary that not only few people like hex or meyer london or myself counter these bushiite terrorists - but if you readers have 1 or 2 hours a day to help us rescue indy from fascist spam, and if you think you have debating skills or computer skills that might enable the identification of the pigs and help counter thir spam - then HELP.

because these guys are using death threats as hex has documented too and we gotta make them feel the heat as well.

spreading the word is nothing without the sword.

help us if you will with both - the word of freedom and equality for mankind, and the sword to protect our freedom before thay take whatever's left of it away from us.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK HEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sincerely yours,
adrian more.

In as much as there's no evidence of any of that happening. (the war has never been declared over...never,,,there's no evidence of massive or really any suicides) I'd call that description typical leftist nut fantasy.

Thankfully it's just that. although one must wonder why you are so excited to see our troops die.

1.what was bush's may 1 declaration all about?

"Bush declared on Thursday that major combat in Iraq is finished."

That's what he said on April 31. No mention of any war being over.

You're flat out WRONG on point one.

2.soldier suicides have been reported all over the world media over the past week

Well I just searched the google news search and I've found no mention of any of this. Not even with multiple search terms. Nothing.

You seem to be the only one in possession of this info.

3.prove how i said that i rejoice when troops die,you coward - or else shut the bushiite fuck up.

Well considering that you've used the lies that we are "getting our asses kicked" and that our troops are committing suicide to bolster your conspiracy theories, it's obvious that you are happy to exchange their deaths in return for some evidence of your silly fantasies.

Thankfully, you're utterly irrelevant, other than to provide entertainment around here.

so i'm the only one in possession of this info you lyin' bastard?

FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>>Alarmed by the number of suicides among soldiers in Iraq, the Army has asked a team of doctors to determine whether the stress of combat and long deployments is contributing to the deaths.

"The number of suicides has caused the Army to be concerned," said Lt. Col. Elspeth Cameron Ritchie, a psychiatrist at the Army's Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. Ritchie is helping to investigate the suicides in Iraq. "Is there something different going on in Iraq that we really need to pay attention to?"

In the past seven months, at least 11 soldiers and three Marines have committed suicide in Iraq, military officials say. That is an annual rate of 17 per 100,000. The Navy also is investigating one possible suicide. And about a dozen other Army deaths are under investigation and could include suicides.

The numbers suggest the rate in Iraq is above normal. Last year, the military services reported 8 to 9 suicides per 100,000 people. The Army rate is usually higher, 10 to 13 per 100,000. That mirrors the rate for the same age group in the general population.>>:

adrian,

Let me fill you in on something.

The mission in Iraq will go on. It's not up to you are people like you to decide. You're incapable of making such important decisions. That's why no one is asking what you think we should do. What you think or even IF you think is irrelevant. Those of us who matter will make sure that things continue in order to accomplish the mission at hand, that is, to protect the US from terrorism and hopefully wipe it off the face of the earth. The message needs to get across that terrorism will not accomplish the goals of the terrorist. Hopefully they'll wake up and figure that out and instead start bringing their grievances to the table for discussion like civilized people do. In the meanwhile, if they are intent on trying to get their way through terrorism or force, we'll kill them.

No. I'm not fresca.

That is all for today.

Even your silly conspiracy theory vanity sites that you link to prove me right.

Let's see. You calim that the suicide rate is somehow "massive".

That a rate of 17 per 100,000 during active combat is soooo much more alarming than the 13 per 100,000 during non-combat. These are your stats ass.

so, please try and explain (in one post if you can) how this rate, which virtually mirrors the general population in this age group is such an aberation.

Well

by fresca Sunday, Nov. 02, 2003 at 1:54 AM

I, for one, think that, on the surface, it's the ONLY idea which will ultimately lead to a stable, non-despotic Iraq.

The main problem I see upfront in engaing Iraqis to rebuild the very sensitive infrastructure and oil industries is the fact that many Iraqis are in the faction you speak of which are not only targeting American troops but the infrastructure itself. Sabatage has been a HUGE problem so far. These terrorists would rather see Iraqis die of starvetion than have Americans feed them. Many of them would, at least. The security required to hire Iraqis at the moment would be rather staggering.

That said, it's going to have to happen sooner or later.
