Do you feel that the recent California recall was more of an entertainment event rather than an important political election?
Do you feel that the recall was a waste of over million taxpayer dollars during this time of record deficits and cuts to public services such as education?
Do you feel that there wasn't enough time for the public to get to know the positions and backgrounds of the candidates before the election?
Do you feel that the groups behind the recall were not grass roots organizations but fronts for special interests?
Do you feel frustrated by the present recall process and think it needs to change?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions then you have come to the right place!
Our mission is to reform the California recall process through public education and involvement. Here at www.helpcalifornia.info we believe that California deserves an efficient and fair recall system. Explore the site and learn how to get involved and change the current system, inform and educate yourself about our current recall system, and sign online petitions to reform the recall system and recall Arnold Schwarzenegger.
NOTE: I voted against the recall only to prevent a republican power grab, but i think the liberals are more responsbile for their failures than the republicans are for the power grab.
Now my responses:
Do you feel that the recent California recall was more of an entertainment event rather than an important political election?
No. It was an expression of direct democracy regardless of how people were distorted by the political rhetoric.
Do you feel that the recall was a waste of over million taxpayer dollars during this time of record deficits and cuts to public services such as education?
No. I feel all political campaigns, republican or democrat, are a waste when they spend that kind of money. give be break, you can't connect the cuts to the expenditures for the election. they are directly related.
Do you feel that there wasn't enough time for the public to get to know the positions and backgrounds of the candidates before the election?
yes. but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have happened.
Do you feel that the groups behind the recall were not grass roots organizations but fronts for special interests?
Of course, but Davis and company are as guilty of corporate cocksucking as are the republicans. This election was about voter rage at an incompetent governor.
Do you feel frustrated by the present recall process and think it needs to change?
NO, absolutely not. I love it when liberals start justifying policies that prevent tendancies toward direct democracy. They can't stand it when the rabble votes against them. I hate the republicans only slightly more than the democrats..but at least you know where they stand. The Democrats are gutless swine that voted for war and the patriot act (without even reading the document). You are as much an enemy of the people as are the republicans.

This group says they want to recall Arnold, but the changes they propose on their web site to the recall law would make getting a recall more difficult. This is a contradiction.
Beware of those who want to reform a law right after it has been used to the political advantage of one party over another. The law cuts both ways. Now that they have used it to gain power they want to change it so that no one can use it against them.
The new governor could well be facing a recall a year from now.
Regardless of how one may feel about the outcome of the election, the results are proof that the recall law works. Beware of those who want to change it now right after the election.
That recall was the best thing that could have ever happened to Kaleefornyah.
