Peter Camejo=Arnold's best friend

by Alan Canfora Wednesday, Oct. 08, 2003 at 6:14 PM

Peter Camejo continues a lifetime of political damage as a professional wrecker and splitter. In Ohio in 1974 and California in 2003, Peter Camejo serves the Republicans best interests. Why is the Green Party now the Republicans' best weapon?

Here's true historical info about Peter Camejo and his tradition of damaging progressives...

Peter Camejo poses as a "progressive activist" in 2003 just as he did here in Ohio as the Trotskyite candidate for Ohio governor in 1974. Camejo was the so-called "Socialist Worker's Party" candidate here in 1974.

Then, as now, Camejo serves the best interests of the Republican Party. In 1974, Camejo and the SWP fooled thousands of idealistic voters--just enough to split votes away from a liberal Democrat who was narrowly defeated by notorious Republican fascist James A. Rhodes--the butcher at Kent State. Rhodes won in 1974 by less than 1% and served brutally for 8 more years.

I remember this all too well. I was among the 13 students shot by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State on May 4, 1970, after the nazi Rhodes ordered the massacre. Now Camejo is in California performing his 1974 role once again. How pathetic--a lifetime of professional wrecking and splitting. What's next? Peter Camejo for President? What a joke.

Peter Camejo, the Socialist Workers Party and the modern Green Party surely understand that they are the true servants of the neo-nazi Republicans. A vote for Peter Camejo and the Green Party is exactly what Republicans hope for all progressive voters: TO WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS VOTE AND OPEN THE DOOR TO REPUBLICAN ABUSE OF POWER. Just like in Florida in 2000.

The California SWP web site encourages voters to abstain in the recall vote and waste your votes on Camejo instead of Bustamante.

Wake up California progressives! Do not let phony "progressive" Peter Camejo split your voting power. We learned the hard way in Ohio in 1974.

Memo to Peter Camejo and the modern Green Party: your legacy of political destruction is shameful!

Wake up - Peter is a hero.

The only way the Democratic party will stop shifting to the RIGHT is to lose some races to candidates that are shifted to the LEFT.

The Greens offer this, the Democrats DO NOT.

What you consider a left Democrat is someone who has pledged to support a party which offers:

- Pro-war presidential candidates

- Never to TOUCH money in elections

- Supporting the 'voting reform' that has now rigged out elections with 'high risk' voting machines that cost millions, and no oversight.

- No support for IRV, which is closer to democracy.

- A history of bombing when the news is catching on to scandals - the Greens support non-violence

- Spineless non-functioning of congressional members - remember, to our embarrassment, our OWN CALIFORNIA CONGRESSWOMAN Diane Frankenstein voted FOR WAR!

- Voting IN of the PATRIOT ACT

- Confirmation of JOHN ASSCROFT

- Huge prison growth

- Continued death penalty

and on and on and on

My GOD - you have the NERVE to condemn a wonderful person like Peter Camejo?

Give me a break.

If you are using the term "spoiler" you have already shown you have no clue of what a Democracy is even about. All parties have the right to run candidates and to FUNCTION as parties.

The Greens do not exist to 'save' the Democrats every time they have sold-out to the center and the right.

The Greens exist because many many people are fed up with the Democrats and see no hope for working within them.

Peter is a hero.

Peter Yes in the Next Election

by mediawatcher Wednesday, Oct. 08, 2003 at 7:26 PM

I would have voted for Peter, but I didn't, so as to offset the effects of misguided Calfornians who vote for the nazi-sympathizer/sexist pig/Enron agent.

I think Peter's time will come in the next governorship election. He's finally made an impact in the recall and although I don't think he is the important issue yet--stopping the republican juggernaut is--he will be the MAN for governor in a couple of years.

I'm learning that greens aren't spoilers, they're innovators.

dems are just lame and need to mature in their politics and take harder progressive positions

republicans are just retarded...

You can't blame this on the Greens

by x Friday, Oct. 10, 2003 at 6:25 PM

The Green party's Peter Camajo came in 4th place with 2.8% of the vote. This was not enough votes to alter the outcome of the election.

Looking for blame. Blame Davis. Blame Cruz. Blame the Dems.

Davis could have prevented the republican takeover by resigning.

Cruz could have run a much better race and Dems could have at least supported him.

And the Dems, well if they would bother to go out and vote and then vote for someone in their party when they get in the voting booth.

The Democrats can only blame themselves for their failure.

It's up to them to motivate their membership to go to the polls and toe the party line. The Dems are the largest political party in the state, with nearly 44% of all registered voters. Why then did they lose? Because only 1/2 of them when to the polls and close to 20% of voted for Arnold.

The Greens are not responsible for the California voters mistaking celebrity with the ability to govern. Nor are they to be held responsible for the inability of the Democrats to get out the vote.
