No Peace Yet

by mymicz Wednesday, Oct. 08, 2003 at 1:22 PM

Israel is striking out at whomever they can, but with good cause.

This weekend one of the worst things that could ever happen occured in the city of Haifa.

Haifa, for all of the inexperienced here who only read and never go, is a city where Arabs and Jews live together in Israel. It has representative government, and is one of the seats where Arabs hold government position in the Knesset.

For the most part, the people in Haifa enjoy relative peace, relative to Compton that is.

Meaning, while drive by shootings in Compton are generally about drugs, drive bys in Haifa are usually about racism.

However, among all of this B.S., two families in Haifa managed to bridge a gap, and do what Bush has been unable to.

These two families, and g-d forgive me for not knowing their names, were Jewish, and Arab Muslim, and had a business.

They owned a restaurant, shared a livelihood, they shared the disputed land, not only in peace, but in happiness.

This weekend a twenty seven year old lawyer, female, blew these two families up. Two entire families, who made peace, better then Oslo, are now gone.

Their murder, defended by Israel's strike on a terrorist training camp, is not being avenged by Arafat, in fact, it's not even being mentioned among Arabs.

5 Muslims, who knew the meaning of Salam are now gone.

The only thing I can think of is that, much like Valerie Plames outing, this murder was a signal from Arafat and his Fatah that no Muslim who makes peace with Israelis is safe.

Mahmoud Abass learned that quickly.

I feel so saddened, that the sheer racism among Muslims has grown so great that they kill their own kind for guilt by association.

I hear reports, often unspoken on Indymedia, or mainstream media, that speak of Muslims on the West Bank, torturing and murdering peace activists who cooperate with Israelis.

And we are supposed to give these people a state?

We are supposed to allow Arab Fascism to roam free, just so that we don't appear to be fascist against Arabs?

I am just incredulous at this.

For me, it shakes my devotion to non-violence.

But that in essence is the goal.

To keep this perpetual cycle going so Arafat can keep his job and play like he cares, while threatening his own people with death for making the peace he can't.

Palestinians wake up!

Arafat is your own worst enemy.

He is killing you outright, and living in a palace, guraded by stupid followers, who will always be followers, when with a bit of education, they could have been leaders and free men. They could have had a restaurant, and lived happily.

Term Limits for Terrorists

by mymicz Wednesday, Oct. 08, 2003 at 1:28 PM

In addition I would like to request term limits for racist terrorist leaders. If Sharon has to go eventually, so should Arafat. Hopefully we'll all survive to see all the current regimes in the world replaced.
