The Happiest Man in West Covina

by builder123 Tuesday, Sep. 16, 2003 at 9:04 PM

September 15, 2003 West Covina California ------- Mr. Connole was elevated into the national spot light late last week when federal and local authorities alleged to have linked him to last month’s fire bombing of SUVs in the San Gabriel Valley.

stream interview

Audio Duration 2 minutes 25 seconds –
Josh briefly describes his experience of the FBI fishing expedition.

After what had to be a tortuous week and half of surveillance, searches, property seizure, arrest and interrogation, Josh Connole will be sleeping in his own bed tonight. Josh who proclaimed his innocence from the beginning was sitting in jail with bail set at $825,000.00 and arraignment scheduled for Tuesday when he was suddenly released this afternoon.

Friends, family and supporters gathering outside the courthouse celebrated the welcomed surprise.

"Mr. Connole was elevated into the national spot light"

Unsubstantiated Allegation

why lash out?

by builder123 Thursday, Sep. 18, 2003 at 5:41 PM

News of Mr. Connole’s arrest was in many of the major papers (print and web), all the regional papers, covered by the major networks and even written up in several automotive trade publications.

One can only hope his release receives such wide-ranging publicity.

Of all 121 Indymedia sites, how many carried the story of Josh?

The only IMC I found with an article on Josh was LA-IMC. That's one. Can anyone post links to other IMC's that carried the story? I haven't found a single one.

Our own IMC's didn't even bother to pick up and carry the story. So yeah, I'd have to say that no one noticed

Of the 121 Indymedia sites, which others besides LA-IMC carried the story? Could you name them, please?

So, out of 121 Indymedias, only 2 covered the event with Josh?

Wow! Now that what IMCers call "wide-ranging publicity."

Com'n. List them all.

How many of the 121 Indymedias posted a story about Josh? What are you gonna do, list them one at a time? How many? 1%? 2%? 5%?

Jim, it's time to put up or shut up. You can't stay immature forever. List them all, if there are any left.

Com'n Jim. What's the problem? You can only name one at a time? I've asked you to list them all. Having problems finding them all at oncethere, Jimmy boy? Can't comprehend the ability to list all the sites at one time? Have to do them one at a time? You got one more waiting in the wings? You gonna post three the next time? How about laying all your cards out on the table there, Jimmy boy. Show us every link. Can you do that? Do you understand what it means to post every link on the IMC's that reported about it? Do I have to draw a picture for you?

Of 121 Indymedia sites, you been able to post a grand total of four. Four! That's because the story was not widely covered, and most people who have read it have forgotten all about it by now. You know how people are. Or do you?

obvious

by jfb Wednesday, Sep. 24, 2003 at 10:55 AM

mabey the ither imc's are covering news in thier own areas. when news isnt put through a corporate filter, local news tends to be more pervasive.

at least all the imc's didnt run stories about josh as if he was already proven guilty and then ignore the story when the fbi let him go like other news outlets...
