Site Update Info
My original intent was to fix some problems with
the calendar section of the site, because we were
experiencing a lot of errors. The new software,
I was thinking, would avoid these problems.
Knowing that part of the sofware may have been altered,
I thought that an upgrade to the calendar code would
suffice to make things work.
Unfortunately, it didn't work out so easily. There were
a number of dependencies between parts of the application
that required upgrading some files which, in turn, were
used by other parts. This had a cascade effect which
pointed toward a total upgrade rather than a piecemeal
temporary fix.
The good news is that it has happened, more or less.
The bad news is that I must go and test different parts
of the site to make sure it's working, and that's
a time consuming process.
If there are parts of the site that are not working,
please drop a note to
wildgift@mac.com.

Some details -

database software required alteration because an old version of the database is used
some alterations to the original code were lost
the newstable template seems to have disappeared
* Articles were not layed out quite right - now they work. Some urls with #nnn at the end will redirect to the same page without the #nnn. This is a side effect, but it will only happen the first time you go to that page.
* The software is basically the same as SF's now. Mostly for better, somewhat for worse.
* The missing image issue is being dealt with at this time.
