Is Bush the New Hitler?

by Mateo Sanchez Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003 at 12:50 PM

Hitler's rampage of murder and war reached its end in 1945, but Hitler began laying the groundwork for his genocide approximately two decades before. Until Hitler began shoveling the bodies of gassed Jews, Gypsies, Poles, and dissidents into the ovens, many in the United States supported Hitler.

Is Bush the New Hitler?

When a Jewish American responded to my comparison of Bush to Hitler, he indignantly claimed that such comparisons diminished the significance of the Holocaust.  I beg to differ.  If anything, it highlights the lessons learned by the Holocaust. In fact, the American people did not willingly enter World War II.  They entered only when Roosevelt permitted the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor.  Thus, it is no surprise that the American population would support yet another Hitler.

The pre-genocide Hitler was portrayed to the German people as a quintessentially folksy and German man, much like Bush is portrayed to the American people as a quintessentially folksy and American man.  The pre-genocide Hitler sought to undermine German democracy in much the same way as Bush has undermined American democracy.  The pre-genocide Hitler manipulated and controlled the media, carefully scripting every depiction of Hitler as a popular leader, much as Bush is portrayed in the American media.  The pre-genocide Hitler abused the rights of Jews much like Bush abuses the rights of Arabs and Muslims.  The pre-genocide Hitler seized upon acts of terrorism (the Reichstag Fire) much as Bush has seized upon the events of 9/11 as a means to push forward his totalitarian mission.

The point is not whether Bush of 2003 equals Hitler of 1945, the point is whether Bush of 2003 equals Hitler of 1939.  What meaning other than this can we attribute to the slogan "Never Again!"  Are we to wait until the end of the next genocide before stopping the forces of evil or are we to take all actions possible to prevent the next genocide?

The rather brainless...
bush_jester.jpgkk5y4z.jpg, image/jpeg, 336x214

Bush is just the curious head, a puppet like figure, unlike Hitler who was more of the mind behind his imperialist madness.

Bush is the face and cowboy jovial personality, not much in the way the mind,of the beast to which he is attached.

The "collective beast" running this country is a multi-tentacled and headed one, with trillions of dollars determining its imperialist and profiteering directions.

Humanity is the last thing on the mind of this beast.

Cut-throat capitalist profit and take over economic imperialism governs its activities, even if it means "war" which is really murder for oil based upon lies, half-truths, and fabricated evidence.

Whatever this "beast" needs it gets and whomever or whatever poses a serious threat to it tons of money goes into the direction of destroying that threat.

Its good for it to get people fighting and arguing with one another and separated.

Its good for it to keep us all captivated by extreme materialist commercial television driven ideals and fear.

Its good for it to keep our children uneducated truly, but enslaved in a repressive system which ignores the child.

Its good for it to keep us ignorant.

Its good for it to keep itself hidden and when we are mentally, common sensically, and spiritually blind it can stand right out in plain view and stay hidden.

Its addicted to control and geverned by greed.

We can see it.

Never before have so few done so much for so few.

Together we can choose not to support it in its various manifestations.

'We can choose the good of the people over profit.

Peace,

Mr. King

Prove that I'm the "coward who steals others' names." You WON'T because you CAN'T because I DON'T.

PS: You put your apostrophe in the wrong place. It's OTHERS'. Enroll in a remedial grammar course.

DIPSHIT.

To Scottie and nonanarchist,

I'm no saint, but its gotta be said...

Its good for the "beast" to get people fighting and arguing with one another and separated.

Its like I teach my students, you can "create peace," then you can teach and learn more, and be more free.

No one is obviously required to do this.

Its just good for one's self to do this.

I wish for you both what I wish for everybody, greater freedom, justice, truth, creativity, teaching ability, love, unity, peace, intelligence, and cooperation in your lives.

Peace,

Mr. King
