ACTIVISTS SEEKING LEGAL ASSISTANCE: PLEASE HELP!by Tendai Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at 2:55 PMActivists seeking legal assistance. Do you know anyone that can help? Sherman Martin Austin, webmaster of RaisetheFist.com was sentenced to one year in prison on August 4, 2003, for having a link to bomb making information on his website, with intent that the information be used to commit a federal crime of violence. Sherman am seeking legal help to review the case for possible appeal, handle any issues that might come up while he is in prison, and to request modification to his probation. He needs a private attorney who can take this case on and fight it!

Ms. Martin Rob "Ruckus" Middaugh was recently released from Avenal State Prison, after serving two years for trumped up charges stemming from his involvement in the 2001 Long Beach May Day demonstration. After being released from Avenal, Federal Marshals came for him and he is now being charged with assaulting a government official. Aparently getting splashed with soda constitutes federal assault. Ruckus needs a lawyer to help fight these bogus charges. Read more about Rob's case. He is currently on house arrest, but can be reached at cabin_fevered@yahoo.com.
