White House link to 9-11 plot found

The White House said a skyjacked plane attack was so unthinkable there was no way to prepare for it.

A little less than two years later, it's finally been finally accepted that not only were such attacks were known to be real risks, but there were also credible warnings that an attack of some kind was imminent. Only the public was not warned and neither were the airlines and their security staffs.

So why did the Bush do nothing with the information he had? Actually, he did do something. He ordered the FBI to suspend investigations of Saudi nationals suspected of terrorism.

But there's more.

It's an accepted part of the public record that San Francisco mayor Willie Brown received a warning not to fly the week of 9/10. When asked the source, he would only say 'his airport security.'

Given that there were no terrorist advisories in circulation that week regarding air travel, the man is lying. (No surprise to people who know him.)

Clearly, he doesn't want to reveal the identity of the person who warned him.

Why? What possible difference could it make?

I got a major clue this week.

"Condoleezza Rice, the most senior black woman in the Bush administration, has levelled a charge of racism against critics of the US drive to bring Western freedoms to the Middle East."

Why is this bizarre statement by Rice a clue as to who tipped off Willie Brown?

Rice has a lot of deep official SF connections besides Chevron: Charles Schwab, San Francisco Symphony Board of Governors, Transamerica Corporation, KQED.

Interestingly, the argument she raised in a pathetic attempt to generate support for the Iraq disaster is classic Willie Brown. There is probably no more enthusiastic player of the race card than Brown on earth.

When caught red handed juicing an election on behalf of the mob, Brown called the investigators 'racists'

because the stadium the mob wanted built with tax dollars was in a black neighborhood.

When members of his police force beat and robbed a citizen in their off time and the chief covered

it up, Brown called people who were concerned 'racists' because the chief is black.

Do Brown and Rice talk?

Let's see: They're both 'A List' members of San Francisco's power elite. They're both black. Would that incline them to converse? Odds are very good, right?

Now, Rice pulls a classic Willie Brown by crying racism when her back is to the wall.

Does that mean, she got the advice to play the card from Brown? Not necessarily, but it has to make you

think.

Let's look back at the warning Brown received.

Who, in his circle of contacts, would: 1) be in a position to know of the impending attack, b) be able to reach him by phone and get his respectful ear, and c) give a rat's ass what happens to one of the most corrupt politicians, black or while, in California history.

It's got to be a small list of people who meets those three criteria, right?

It's also got to be someone who should not have known the attack was coming.

Just off the top, the only person who I can think of who would fit into these custom made shoes is Condoleezza Rice.

But as it turns out, my Sherlock Holmes flourish was not needed.

Apparently, on May 17, 2002, Pacifica Radio reported that Rice was the source of the call to Brown.

It's unlikely that you heard the original report. I sure didn't. I also don't know what Pacifica based it on, if indeed they did report it at all. It seems easy enough to check.

Here's why someone should:

If the ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AFFAIRS got on the phone on September 10, 2001 to warn a friend not to fly that week, then it's now possible to trace specific foreknowledge of the 9-11 attacks DIRECTLY to the inner circle of the White House. That'd be significant.
