Help us sue KOBE.

by Stop Fascism! Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003 at 10:42 PM

We are raising funds to sue KOBE for libel, defamation, and harassment.

download PDF (667.1 kibibytes)

As most of you realize, KOBEHQ has been harassing our website for more than one year with death threats, libel, defamation, and other harassment. KOBEHQ is now harassing IndyMedia and various other anarchist groups online. Computers NLA of Harbor City, CA has always been involved in KOBE. They hosted KOBE. They lied to cover up the identity of the owner of the KOBEHQ website. They were informed that KOBEHQ was a hate website engaged in illegal activities but chose not to remove it until knowledge of their involvement became ubiquitious.

Stop Fascism! has contacted a lawyer willing to take on the case. We need to raise enough money for the retainer fee. You can help us raise the funds by purchasing a "Boycott Computers N.L.A." bumper sticker at:

http://www.cafeshops.com/stopfascism.7108069

All profits from sale of this bumper sticker will go into a fund to finance the law suit.

If you wish to have a bumper sticker but cannot afford to purchase one, we've included two PDF files (one at 300 dpi and the other at 600 dpi) for those of you that have an inkjet printer. If you go to Office Max or some other office store, ask for ink jet bumper sticker paper. Print the PDF file onto the paper. Spray the paper with a clear gloss spray paint. Wait an hour. Spray it again. Wait another hour and then cut out your bumper sticker. The coat of clear paint will help it hold up in the rain.

At some point in the future we may produce a stack of these bumper stickers and mail them out free to anyone that is interested. When that time comes, we will post a message here.

Open Publishing

The LA-IMC Newswire works on the principle of Open Publishing, an essential element of the Indymedia network that allows anyone to instantaneously self-publish their work on globally-accessible web sites. The Newswire encourages people to "become the media" by posting their articles, analysis, videos, audio clips and artwork directly to the web site. You can publish to the Newswire by clicking the "publish" link on any page and following the easy instructions. Indymedia relies on the people who post to the newswire to present their information in a thorough, honest, accurate manner.

The editorial collective develops sections of the site that provide edited articles, including the center column of the front page and various feature pages, but there is no designated collective that edits articles posted to the Newswire. The tech collective follows basic guidelines to hide duplicate postings and correct technical problems; all hidden articles continue to remain publicly accessible.

If you disagree with the content of a particular article that someone has posted or can provide further relevant information, you may comment on the article through the "add your own comments" link at the bottom of each post.

A spam attack is defined as a pattern of abuse of the newswire by a particular poster. If the editorial collective reaches consensus (at a meeting or on the listserv) that a specific individual is launching a spam attack on the LA-IMC newswire, the spammer's post(s) may be hidden from the newswire by a member of the editorial collective.

Each instance of recognized spam will be considered individually, and the reason why the editorial collective perceives the post(s) as spam will be stated on the editorial list, as well as in a comment on the hidden article itself. When a member of the editorial collective hides a post, (s)he shall immediately notify the editorial listserv.

Look loser, no one gives a fuck about your one-man crusade against KOBE. But, in case you are interested, I am raising funds to sue the idiot behind the "Rational Anarchist" website for spaming indymedia.

Where theres a will theres a way.

I think that a concerned efforts of arson, letter-bombs, and sniper tactics should accomplish the job.

You wouldn't even need a lawyer.

It's easier when you know your enemy..

and they don't know you.

But the question you have to ask yourself is...

Do you have the Will to accomplish your goals.....

By any means necessary....
