KPFK's online real audio stream server can no longer handle the number of visitors to the site. This petition is meant as both a sign of support for the radio station and request to use the live365.com method that fellow Pacifica station WBAI uses on it's web streaming.

KPFK's voice needs to be heard and accessible around the world. Take note from WBAI. They're system is working great. The undersigned ask that you consider adopting it.

I kinda thought there would be more people on LA IMC that would know about KPFK and care about something like this. Oh well.

For the past week, I've tried many times to get KPFK's stream, to no avail. It's great that people are loading up the site. But I've never seen it this bad, and I've been listening via their website for over a year (former Los Angelino going through withdrawals!).

If you've ever used the web stream and dig it, do check out the petition. Using live365.com the way WBAI does wouldn't be a simple fix, and most likely wouldn't cost anything either.
