Breaking Story - BLACK BOX VOTING: How to Steal an Election
by C/O Diogenes Tuesday, Jul. 08, 2003 at 11:22 AM

The issue of Election Theft has been around for a while. With the contested Florida Count in the last Presidential Election the Honesty of our Voting Systems has been called to question. Electronic Black Box Voting is even more susceptible to Fraud than Hand Counts.

Scoop NZ has posted Two VERY Revealing and eye opening articles today on how Elections using Diebold Systems equipment are very easily Stolen by use of a built-in Back Door to the System.

The implications are that every election (in use in 30 States) which used these machines may very well have had a cooked crooked result. This is MAJOR. REALLY MAJOR.

These are VERY Important articles. I would encourage everyone who reads this to download a copy IMMEDIATELY in order to prevent this story from disappearing.

Article 1. Bev Harris Explains How it was discovered: http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0307/S00065.htm
Scoop has been overloaded with hits on this so here is another copy at What Really Happened.com.

Article 2. Explains in Wider Detail the implications: http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0307/S00064.htm
Scoop has been overloaded with hits on this so here is another copy at What Really Happened.com.

If you know a Web Master get him or her to POST these stories immediately and prominently.

We need to get this information out FAST far and wide.

Bev Harris is going to be on Working Assets Radio tomorrow
by ziggy Tuesday, Jul. 08, 2003 at 12:15 PM

For what it's worth, the story is slowly picking up attention in the larger "alternative" media outlets -- like that radio show.

http://www.workingforchange.com/radio/index.cfm

It's the kind of story that will likely move along into the mainstream thereafter, in fits and starts. You know about it now. A sizable number of other people will likely know about it within two months -- typical phenomena for this sort of thing/story.

As someone that has direct experience with working with media professionals I can tell you that radio producers are among the more receptive to people making suggestions about program topics. If you put together a 300 word description of why a certain topic is of interest and include a link or two with further summary (say, if someone wrote a good summary article) and then contact info for someone, producers dig it.

Media activism is easier than most people assume.

However,
by Diogenes Tuesday, Jul. 08, 2003 at 9:00 PM

...watch for the Spin in the Oil Soaked Monopoly Media. They will Pooh Pooh and soft sell the story and then Bury it deep and quickly.

This is a crack in the Oligopolists Armor.

One of the Illusions that many people who currently support the Status Quo cherish is that we have "Honest" Elections. While anyone who has followed the issue for any length of time knows that is not the case.

Some Elections are honest.

However, I suspect fewer than most people would like to believe.

How else do you explain the Coward-in-Chief?

How else do you explain 5 elections decided by the same IDENTICAL vote count of 18,181? All Republicans, all with Diebold Systems Vote Fraud Machines. Your odds of winning the Lottery are better.

Actually - that should have been...
by Diogenes Wednesday, Jul. 09, 2003 at 11:33 AM

...that this is a crack in the Oligarchist's Armor not Oligopolist's. One's a Political arrangement the other Economic.

Sigh.

I hate it when I think ahead of my typing and make a dumb goof.
